Cool woman, cool eyes
You got me hypnotized
So head down, get a rhythm
Stop your stalling and your bitching
I'm rock steady, I'm still shaking
I'm ready for the taking
So make your move, yeah, make me
And get ready for the big "C"

Let it rock, yeah
Let it roll, let it
Let it go, let it go
You got to let it rock, come on
Let it roll, yeah just let it go

Slow down, hold on
You're too fast, you're too strong
Take it easy, take it slow
Make it last, don't let go
We're one body, it's one way
You're not leaving, come on stay
So get down on your knees
And let me know you're eager to please

Let it rock, yeah
Let it roll, let it
Let it go, let it go
You got to let it rock, come on
Let it roll, yeah just let it go

Let it go
Let it go

Cool woman, cool eyes
You got me hypnotized
Slow down, hold on
You're too fast, too strong
I need a woman, a woman to love
One good woman
And you got what I want, what I want

Slow down, hold on
You're much too fast, you're much too strong
Take it slow, make it last
Take it easy, not too fast
Don't let go
No, I'm rock steady, but still shaking
And I'm ready for the taking
So make your move, yeah make me
And get a-ready for the big "C", yeah

Let it rock, let it
Let it roll, let it
Let it go, let it

Let it rock, let it
Let it roll, let it
Let it go, let it go

Let it rock, yeah
Let it roll, let it
Let it go, let it go
You got to let it rock, come on
Let it roll, yeah, let it go
Oh yeah

This song is actually about a blow job. I never knew that until a few months ago when I read it in some interview. I thought that was interesting. Now I just laugh whenever I hear it.

I've been a Def Leppard fan a long time and this is definitely one of my favorite songs.

Some of the lyrics written here (and also on several websites) are incorrect. My sister had a Def Leppard guitar book which included the lyrics. I can certainly understand with Joe Elliott's strong accent how some words can sound different.

    "Rock steady, we're still shaking"

is actually: I'm rock steady, and still shaking

"So make your move, you might be"

is actually: So make your move, ignite me (also the same for the last verse)

"Get ready for the big scene"

is actually: Get ready for the big "C" (i think we all know what that means:) ( and this is also the same for the last verse)

"A warm body is one way"

is actually: We're one body, there's one way

"And let me know if you're here to please"

is actually: and let me know if you're eager to please

"I need a woman, I want her to love A wound up woman And you do what I want, what I want"

is actually: I need a woman, a woman to love One good woman And you got what I want, what I want

It's about him getting head. I mean how could anyone NOT know this? And these lyrics are wrong.

This has always been tied for my most fav Def Lep song and certainly is on of the most underrated/under-played Def Lep song. Now that I've read the lyrics, its no longer tied for my fav, it is by FAR my fav Def Lep song. lol

Hottest song of theirs by far. I thought it was just my mind working over it over, after hearing it for the first time (as I tend to lean towards sexual interpretations). Glad to know that I'm still sane. - Rock On

Both as a standalone and as part of the DSOTS album, you can take this lyric as read. As a matter of public record, Jourgensen's drug intake was legendary even in the 1980s. By the late 90s, in his own words, he was grappling with massive addiction issues and had lost almost everything: friends, spouse, money and had nearly died more than once. "Dark Side of the Spoon" is a both funny & sad title for an album made by a musical genius who was losing the plot; and this song is a message to his fans & friends saying he knows it. It's painful to listen to so I'm glad the "Keith Richards of industrial metals" wised up and cleaned up. Well done sir.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
