Anything Right (feat. Christian Lindskog) Lyrics

So much to say so little time for me to explain the way I feel/ You only see things the way you want to see them/ It makes sense to you all those you do./ You got it all figured out while everyone is confuse/ How do you do it?/ In your mind I'm just blind/ Your right all of the time/ If I think for myself, I guess I am way out of line/ I'm not who you are/ I'm so sorry.

I can't do anything right/ You don't know me, stay out of my life/ Kick me while I'm down, I want you to/ I can't be like you/ Don't wanna be like you.

No matter what I do it's never good enough/ I give all that is; still it's never enoudh/ So why try? I give up./ What does it feel like to be in your shoes/ And walk over everyone like you do?/ Tear me down, I want you to./ You're lovely, so beautiful/ You're perfect in every way./ Your interior rusted, I'm so disgusted/ Can't trust it. You're Busted.

I can't do anything right/ You don't know me, stay out of my life/ Kick me while I'm down, I want you to/ I can't be like you/ Don't wanna be like you.

I personally love the new POD stuff and this song is a shining example of why. Sonny is finally realizing he can be a Christian and not have to have every song be souly about his love for God. I think that this song is about someone ( either a real person or peolple in general) who makes Sonny feel like less of a person. They tell him that because he is tatooed and peirced he cannot be anything but a freak. Also the part where he says "Kick me while I'm down, I want you to" is very Biblical. In the Bible it says that if someone smacks your face to turn and let them smack the other cheek. He is simply turning cheeks because greater is his reward in Heaven.

I think it's about people (including other christians) who disrespect P.O.D. because of their tattoo's, their music or just being themselves.

I agree with the above poster, but I think it's pointed more specifically towards christians condemning them.

I dont necessarily judge their songs by the fact that they're christian. Dont get me wrong, I believe in God, but I take the song as self-expression...you know...trying to identify with the listeners as well as expressing how he feels. I often feel like I cant do anything right because so much is expected from me and no matter how hard I try ... I fail, I give up..... I'ts kinda a theme song for me. And I hate how people judge P.O.D. and put them into christian or freak categories...because of lyrics or tattoos...humans are humans and in the end we'll all be judged...and doesnt the bible tell us not to judge one another.....I love POD and their music and their albums and their messages... -Mary- xoxoxoxo SWAK

this song could be to those christians who ridicule payable on deaths music and claim they are of the devil, which is bull, ive heard sonnys testimony it is awesome.. and it is a lot of times a whole lot better then the so called christians at my church who stereotype christian rock.. i think the song has many meanings but i wont know unless i get the chance to meet sonny again.. it could be how the other bands that are of the world that toured with them feel about pod tho.. you kinda have to look at it at all angles

I can relate this song to a relationship my ex-fiance and I had, I feel like I should sing this song to him... As for P.O.D., it just shows that Christian or not, they're human.

They are saying "We are either being too Christian, or not Christian enough." "Nothing we do will make you like us. You know how we should act, but we don't care. We kno what our cause is for."
