King Of Insects Lyrics
Words come easy
Behind a screen
When there's no interface-to-face
To be seen
King of Insects
You eat your own
Atop an anthill
You call your throne
Kingdom of one
So unaware
As one-by-one your subjects
Vanish into air
Chatter to the wind
Make your decree
And save your venom
For the ones who disagree
Your castle walls are falling
Your body's frail
Your window on the world
Is minuscule in scale
Burrow deep now
Escape the light
Heaven forbid you have to face
T he ones you slight
Behind a screen
When there's no interface-to-face
To be seen
You eat your own
Atop an anthill
You call your throne
So unaware
As one-by-one your subjects
Vanish into air
Make your decree
And save your venom
For the ones who disagree
Your body's frail
Your window on the world
Is minuscule in scale
Escape the light
Heaven forbid you have to face
T he ones you slight

This is the first A23 song I heard...
If I can remember correctly, Tom was interviewed and asked about this song. He said it was about internet users controlling other people throught the internet (or something like that).
'Words come easy Behind a screen When there's no interface-to-face To be seen'
This means that talking is easier for that person through the internet, I guess.
By far my favourite A23 song and one that, for some reason, really touches me. To me it represents corrupt leadership; someone who feels like they're a god when they're really just as insignificant as those whom they control to do their dirty work & the hypocrisy of that-- that all their power/influence comes out of making others do the work for them while they hide away in their "castle"; hence "heaven forbid you have to face the ones you slight".. until it starts to crumble around them due to their tyranny & lack of humanity to their subjects..
If that makes sense. O_O
I actually found that a lot of failure reminds me of the book Ender's Game
