Easy lover
She'll get a hold on you, believe it
Like no other
Before you know it you'll be on your knees
She's an easy lover
She'll take your heart but you won't feel it
She's like no other
And I'm just trying to make you see

She's the kind of girl you dream of
Dream of keeping hold of
You'd better forget it
You'll never get it
She will play around and leave you
Leave you and deceive you
Better forget it
Oh, you'll regret it

No, you'll never change her, so leave it, leave it
Get out quick 'cause seeing is believing
It's the only way
You'll ever know, oh

She's an easy lover
She'll get a hold on you, believe it
Like no other
Before you know it you'll be on your knees
She's an easy lover
She'll take your heart but you won't feel it
She's like no other
And I'm just trying to make you see

You're the one that wants to hold her
Hold her and control her
Better forget it
You'll never get it
Oh, she'll say that there's no other
'Til she finds another
Better forget it
Oh, you'll regret it

And don't try to change her, just leave it, leave it
You're not the only one, ooh, seeing is believing
It's the only way
You'll ever know, oh

Now don't try to change her, just leave it, leave it
You're not the only one, 'cause seeing is believing
It's the only way
You'll ever know, oh

She's an easy lover (she's a easy lover)
She'll get a hold on you, believe it (get a hold on you)
She's like no other
Before you know it you'll be on your knees (you'll be down on your knees)
She's an easy lover
She'll take your heart but you won't feel it (you won't feel it)
She's like no other
And I'm just trying to make you see (trying to make you see, yeah)

She's an easy lover
She'll get a hold on you, believe it (get a hold on you)
And like no other
Before you know it you'll be on your knees (you'll be down on your knees)
She's an easy lover
She'll take your heart but you won't feel it (you won't feel it)
She's like no other
And I'm just trying to make you see (trying to make you see)

She's an easy lover
She'll get a hold on you, believe it

Hey i thought this song was just about a girl who is easy to fall in love with cos she plays around with the guy's emotions. As in she is smooth and therefore easy to love. But at the end of the time she will leave the guy for someone else, as in an emotional player. But I didn't think it ment easy as in she is promiscuous.

I agree with that last one- it's about those girls that are easy to fall in love with, who can't be pinned down for long, and no matter how hard you try, you won't be the one who's enough to keep her...Does anyone feel sorry for the girl he's singing about? Imagine never ever being satisfied, constantly moving from one guy to the next. Did you ever think that maybe she wasn't trying to make you fall in love with her or break your hearts?

This song is about two guys and a girl; guy #1 has just been dumped by the easy lover and he's not sure why(he did everything a boyfriend was supposed to do)and now he's heartbroken. The dumpee is now warning the other guy with this song because he or any other guy will be her next target.

I heard Phill Collins talk about this song once. He said that his main role was as a producer to Philip Bailey wich is the artist of this song. Then when the song needed extra vocals of course Collins gladly jumped in and sang. But it was still Phillips song. However Collins understood that the only way the song was going to be a big hit was if it was released with his already good name and white skin (As Philip is black). Sadly, he said we did it and it was a big hit!

I have heard this song lots of times before but it was only until I got it that I really listened to the lyrics of this song. This really relates to me in terms of I have an ex that I really love, and she is like the girl Phil Collins is talking about in this song.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.
