I guess his love for someone has got him depending too much on his feelings rather than his common sense. So he tries to tone that down cuz he doesn't want to be or look like a fool. So I guess he's trying to hide how crazy he is for this somebody and attempt to be more professional. The Noah's Ark thing was confusin' though. But shades hide your eyes... This song has a gentle and classy feel to it. Nice.
Agreed Morendo. Even the melody agrees. First part is emotional and after "So I will walk" it's more classy.
About the Noah's Ark bit. The whole song is about hiding from love, because he doesn't want to be controlled by his feelings. My guess is that Noah's Ark simply symbolizes something extra-ordinary, but he does not want to get involved, he's hiding from love, and his eyes just glazes over.
