I'm alone
Can't wait until I feel your rain
So unreal
Can't find another place of your rain

I believe
I still believe in your warm rain
I'm alone
Can't sleep until I feel your rain

How can I find
Love, Faith and Trust inside of your rain
So unreal, can't find another place of your rain
I believe

I still believe in your warm rain
So untrue
Help me to find through your warm rain
I send out my wishes

You gave me promises
Why don't you feel the same
(I'm sad, I feel like a little child,
Somebody left, there is no rain)

Oh no, I'm waiting
How about your rain?
I can't believe
I still believe in your rain

Like in heaven
I can't wait until I feel your rain
So where's your life
Who's living the rest of your life

I can't, I can't,
I can't live this life, I can't live this life
I can't see in your eyes
Can't change it, no more tries

Leave everyone with a smile
And you're sad, you feel like a little child
Somebody's left there is no rain
I send out my wishes...

i was thinking abt this song..and i dont think that "rain" symbolizes (only) the touch..but the effect the acts and the words and the everything,of the person we love, has on us..

I think the Rain represents love. The song is about a person who loved her, but she doesn't feel loved anymore (I can't see it in your eyes). She tries to love this person and to go on like this because she still believes it can work (I can't believe, I still believe in your rain), but in the end she gives up (can't change it, no more tries). In the end the person leaves, they break up, and she is left vulnerable (I'm said I feel like a little child)

How has no one commented on this beautiful song?? This is really emotional and I guess Sandra uses rain metaphorically to symbolise the touch of a person she loves. Also .. Kiss The Dawn and Pretty In Scarlett aren't on here yet!! They are amazing songs as well. You've gotta try them out if you like this song..

    My Interpretation

i can't help but giggle, i'm such a stupid kid i know, still, this totally sounds to me like a water sports elegy... like, for real...

'I still believe in your warm rain I'm alone can't sleep until I feel your rain'

a pretty song, however trite the lyrics.

The total feeling I'm getting from this song is that she is using rain as a metaphor for not only touch but for being "showered with affection," which by the sounds of it, she isn't getting her rain. This song seems to mean that she is in a relationship where she feels neglected and is tired of spending all her energy giving her affection where she is not getting any in return. At the end of the song she makes it clear that she no longer gave the person affection and most likely left them. This song is emotionally intense and one of my favorites. :) <3

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
