There were times in my life when I was confused. There were things between me and God that were blocking my view. So I prayed, "Oh dear Lord, take these things away so I can see." He answered my prayer and at the sight of Him I fell to my knees. And until I went onto that fateful trip. I thought that I was on a sinking ship. Until, I went on a balloon ride (I can see everything from up there.) I went on a balloon ride and now everything seems clear. I strive towards infinity. Though sometimes I don't know what to do. When other people laugh at me all I do is look towards You. Well on my way through this life yet something was gone. I looked round and round and then I found I needed some one. So I prayed, "Oh dear Lord, fill me up and make me whole. Present in my life Jesus Christ, save my soul.

this song is soo awesome:D when i went and read some lyrics of Relient K's i saw this and i nearly cryed, thats how much this song really meant to me, it was just so amazing and the words are all so true and it really shows that these guys have massive faith for god and that in this song he is singing bout how things were blocking his view and how he thought he was on a sinking ship and all these other things which make his life seem bad and that when he prayed to god, god took all of that away and made things right for him and that jesus filled him up and made him whole again and i think that really does mean something.
everytime i am having a bad day, i sing "I went on a balloon ride (I can see everything from up there.) I went on a balloon ride and now everything seems clear" and it makes me smile and feel much better.

i remeber when i got this cd like it was yesterday!! i played it non-stop and then i went back and played this one like an extra 10 times...relient k are one of my fav groups along with audio a!! they really know how to bring kids to christ
A lot of times, we often find that we're focusing on ourselves, and doing things "our way," because for some reason, man has this funny thing called pride, and we think that we're powerful and flawless in all that we do, when in fact, we're far from it. We mess up; we blow it; we fail. And it's in these times that we're really hit hard, because we have to face that fact, the fact that we really are weak, and we can't do things on our own. It's also in these times that we're forced into a much needed humility, and that's what I think this song's about: the realization that we NEED God, but more importantly, that He's always there for us, even when we do utterly fail. If we keep our focus on God, even when those around us mock us and try to bring us down, He'll take care us, all because of the simple fact that He loves us. "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Matthew 11:28-29
