Sweet boy, come in
I am the dark side of you
Die for my sins
Like the One once did

Cinnamon bed
For your unashamed appetite
A figurante
This dance will hurt like hell

Oh, bare grace misery
Just a child without a fairytale am I
Dark but so lovely
A Little Match Girl freezing in the snow

Love lying, enticing
(Bare grace misery)
Crowning the moment
(Bare grace misery)

This is what I am
Bare grace for the end of days
Romantic scent
Spoiled Lucrece lies warm for you

There's no such priest
That can pray me to heaven
When done with me
Forget if you think I feel ashamed

A wild thing
Never felt sorry for anything
Love lying...

    My Interpretation

I have a little different interpretation.

I think the song is about a lady that wants a loving man in her life but failes, because all the man just want sex - nothing more.

She is looking for the real romantic love - but doesn't understand she didn't get it this way.

    So -->

Sweet boy, come in I am the dark side of you Die for my sins Like the one once did

--> she is looking for someone. Found a "boy" (well I think this is meant for a young and inexperienced man), who's lusting for her (I am the dark side of you). She is agreeing (die for my sins), I think "die" means something like a orgasmn here (Le petit mort). But it also means he will have to sacrifice at least a part of him, "like the one once did" --> jesus died for the sins of men. So the "boy" will also offer something to the lady, perhaps some time or his virginity.

Cinnamon bed For your unashamed appetite

--> I also think this refers to Hansel and Gretel - just a line, that the boy really wants her.

A figurante This dance will hurt like hell

--> But she is only a mute (span. figurante) in his life, just like the meremaid in the life of the prince. She will "dance" for him - hoping he will love her, even if it hurts - but he won't fall in love with her.

Oh, bare grace misery Just a Child without a fairytale am I Dark but so lovely A Little Match Girl freezing in the snow

--> The lady knows, that the man will not love her for this night, she is just like the little match girl --> hoping everything gets better, lighting some matches and dreaming of a better world - but she knows in reality she is freezing to dead.

Love lying, enticing (Bare grace misery) Crowning the moment (Bare grace misery) This is what I am Bare grace for the end of days

--> she's just lying there, just for being enticing and for crowing the moment (sex/orgasmn for the man) Bare grace misery means she is a desperate naked beauty. She knows she will stay like this.

Romantic scent Spoiled Lucrece lies warm for you

--> She is dreaming again (romantic scent), but in reality she is just a playmate for the man. spoiled lucrece means - she would love to be like lucrece - well she isn't.

There's no such priest That can pray me to heaven

--> in the end of the fairytale "the match girl" a priest helps the match girl - and the match girl will never suffer again, because she's in heaven. (well dead - but in heaven^^) The lady knows this will not happen, the man will not fall in love with her - so there is no heaven for her.

When done with me Forget if you think I feel ashamed A wild thing Never felt sorry for anything

--> in the end she knows, she won't feel ashamed just because the man left her with nothing. perhaps she will try this another time ;)

I also have a REAL different interpretation :D

She could also be a nymphomaniac.^^ Seducing some man, everytime hoping for satisfaction she can't get. In the end she doesn't feel ashamed because she's just a little evil^^.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

When We Were Young
Blink-182
This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Head > Heels
Ed Sheeran
“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.
