[Verse 1]
Why can't I make up my mind?
Is this your knife in my back?
Why's this mood swinging around
Like an executioner swings its axe?

[Refrain]
This is a warning
You better stay away
Just take a tiny step back
It's in my DNA

[Verse 2]
Where am I going?
I lose control in the streets
It's overflowing
This transformation complete

[Refrain]
This is a warning
But get the fuck away
We're gonna get darker
It's in my DNA

[Verse 3]
Beware and clear the streets
The reaper is released
Stare not into their eyes
Or the angel of death you'll greet

[Chorus 1]
Like it or not, you just got caught in a bloodbath
Somebody throw me a party 'cause it's my debut
'Cause if I'm bathed in blood then so are you
Don't give a fuck about nothing else, this is my bloodbath
You ain't seen rage, you ain't seen wrath
Now strap yourself in, motherfucker

[Bridge]
I am the cosmos
I am torment
I bring forth life
Witness my ascent

[Chorus 2]
Sit your ass down because the shark is in town and it's a bloodbath
I must share my discomfort with you
Now bow to the power or be consumed
Fuck the whole world 'cause it's coming unfurled and it's a bloodbath
You have no clue
The pain is transcending
Now fuck up and die
My patience is ending
Oh, it's a bloodbath

[Outro]
Why do I feel so big?
Why do I feel so ugly?
This is my only path
It's our bloodbath
It's our bloodbath
It's our bloodbath

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.
