I fly a gigantic monster
I am captain evil stomper
I get to wear big black helmet
I pilot the Hatredcopter

I fly the beast made of steel
Then I can cut the night
Gas tank is filled with vengeance
Machine guns shooting spite
Can't find the thing that makes this thing take a hard turn right
I follow where it leads me by battered wings of might

You will most likely die by the hands of my arm
When I come and fly and take off-a your face
with the front of my Hatredcopter

ooooooooooooooooooogh

I fly a gigantic monster
I am captain evil stomper
I get to wear big black helmet
I pilot the Hatredcopter

I fly the Hatredcopter
I'm going to hunt you down
I'm getting lots of money
for all the bounties found
Can't seem to find the button
that turns the radar on
Can't work the hatredcopter
The hunt for you is done

I am likely to find
for my failure to fly
that I will be fired
for not killing you
cause that is my job
Hatredcopter

You will most likely die by the hands of my arm
When I come and fly and take off-a your face
with the front of my Hatredcopter

Hatredcopter x8

This was a leaked song off their first album.

The addition of Gene Hoglan on drums (versus that shitty drum machine) makes this SO much better, I think. Plus it's got...I dunno...more depth? Sounds more complex than usual for Brendan.

Actually.. Nathan Explosion is Brenden Small. He does all the vocals, guitars and bass on the Dethklok CD. Tommy Blancha does the drums and a little writing...

At first, I almost had to throw this CD out of my car window after buying it. I thought it was ((forgot his name)) from Metallica. If it was, Dethklok, Brandon Small, Williams Street, and Adult Swim would have lost 1,000,000 metal points from me. Good thing Dethklok already had 20 Billion Metal Piont just from Murmaider!!!!!

Long Live Brandon Small. Dethklok Better Get 10+ Seasons or Adult Swim Will Die!!

To clear things up, Brendan small does nathan explosion's (lead singer), Pickles (drummer) and skwisgaar skwisgelf (lead guitarist) voices and plays all the guitar parts. Gene Holgan did all the drums for the album and yes james hetfield is on this song.

Is that supposed to be Murderface doing backup singing? It definitely doesn't sound like Pickles, it does sound like Murderface though until the backup singer starts singing solo. Any ideas?

He reuses the verse melody from the previous album's "Dirty Little Religion", the topics of the verses are all over the place, and he packs too many words into one line (goes to show...) and too few in another (it's pretty hard to find), and rhymes "Henley Regatta" with "Persona non grata", but gets away with it all as only he could.

The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
