Farther from oblivion
Closer to the end
Will I become the setting sun
Will I fall when I wake up?
I remember every last word
I remember it all
I remember every last word
I remember...
When I am wired to oblivion
I'm closer to the end
We all become the setting sun
We have nowhere left to run
I remember every last word
I remember it all
I remember every last word
I remember...
Oh, my sweet oblivion
We are drowning in paradise
I guess we'll need a deeper gutter
A higher levee
To slow this tide
I remember every last word
I remember it all
I remember every last word
I remember...
Do you have any last words?
I remember it all
Do you have any last words?
Because I remember, I remember it all
Closer to the end
Will I become the setting sun
Will I fall when I wake up?
I remember it all
I remember every last word
I remember...
I'm closer to the end
We all become the setting sun
We have nowhere left to run
I remember it all
I remember every last word
I remember...
We are drowning in paradise
I guess we'll need a deeper gutter
A higher levee
To slow this tide
I remember it all
I remember every last word
I remember...
I remember it all
Do you have any last words?
Because I remember, I remember it all

I think this is about the current state of the world & how it's all become a dystopian nightmare bereft of reason and ripe with disfunction.
@EternalTearsOfSorrow not sure how you came up with that. Aside from viewing everything through your own filter of course. That would make sense. Seems the song is more personal than that. Sounds like it anyway. Possibly having to do with simply passing sway from this world and slipping into the next iteration of life or death, as the sunset turns to day eventually.
