A Horse Called Golgotha Lyrics
call the boy
he's down the hollow
cull the tide
distill the rye
now it's time for medication
stallions on the eiderdown
the stained horizon
ablaze with revolvers
stampedes and bridles
exorcise the family demons
stallions on the eiderdown
the stained horizon
of dark rein and rider
the steed named golgotha
he's down the hollow
cull the tide
distill the rye
stallions on the eiderdown
ablaze with revolvers
stampedes and bridles
stallions on the eiderdown
of dark rein and rider
the steed named golgotha

The meaning of this song is unknown to me, but baroness is fucking awesome /,,/

So some things to know. Eiderdown is a type of comforter or blanket, and Golgotha is the hill Christ was crucified. That being said, I have no idea what the song is about.

I have no idea what the song is about but I think the title comes from the book Suttree, by Cormac Mccarthy. When the title character is hallucinating during a fever he sees a general riding into battle on a horse called Golgotha, or something. I don't know if this is a reference to something else, but I couldn't find anything on google one way or the other. The audiobook is on youtube.
