Uh, yow

You best better know when to act right (Act right)
'Cause the breath of a Toad like a slap fight (Slap fight)
Go hard seeing colors with the blacklight
Back with his craft while he dragging his graphite
At sight, he a stone when he rolls
So he's rollin' a bone, gettin' stoned, it's a trap life
Rap tight 'cause he cold with the tone
Staying froze with the flow, turn the snow to some cracked ice
I said that these verses will freeze
My letters be negative thirty degrees
Sendin' the hearse to your street
Your ventricles hurting get certain deceased
Steady with murkin' the beat
Defeat with the purpose this personal speech
I've been blurtin' out seems like a sermon from priests
But this is just Stool turnin' leaves

Sometimes, I don't know who I am, so I look at my hands
See the work that I put in (Work that I put in)
Lay a match on the bridge, leave my past in the ruins
Sometimes, I don't know who I am, so I look at my hands
See the work and improvement (Work and improvement)
Lay a match on the bridge
Leave my past in the ruins

Not for nothin', it's them Stools again
The fools with nothin' to lose in the booth
With pen to paper to lay waste to the masses
Step into the place, you can taste the disaster
You save face with a little bit of makeup
We double D's, baby, you runnin' an A cup
Illiterat wake up in a cold sweat
If I didn't make love to the beat for the whole set
In my stomach is bumblebees
But my breath is at negative thirty-one degrees
Dentyne ice with the cold flames
Sugar and spice, I'm nice like Coltrane
And hearty like a whole grain, I fill 'em up
If the beat's like a deep drink from Dilla's cup
Villainous, you can try, but you can't keep a free bird tame

No use in savin' him, he's cavin' in, he's cavin' in and
No use in savin' him, he's cavin' in, he's cavin' in

No Surprises

Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.
