(Come on)

The simple recipe to get the best of me
Homegrown ingredients, that's what made you mess with me
In the first place (place), 'cause you know I'm like organic
And it tastes great (great), I already gave you bananas (woo)
Go ahead and help yourself, me again in your ear
Binge on my music for days 'cause I've been here for years
Not a comeback (oh), I'm recycling me
It's not a comeback (oh), you feel that new energy

Na, na-na, na-na
Got a smile on my face, go ahead and pass it on
Na, na-na, na-na
It's free with a coupon, coupon

Let me re-, let me reintroduce myself
Case you forgot, no, I'm not records on your shelf
I'm still the original-riginal old me, yeah
Original-riginal old me
So let me re-, let me reintroduce myself, yeah

Original-riginal-riginal
Yeah

Ooh, twenty-twenty-twenty-twenty-twenty vision
That's a hundred, but I'm not that good at long division
Get focused, put your glasses on
See in color like new crayons
I feel good, I feel great, I feel alright, alright, oh

Na, na-na, na-na
Got a smile on my face, go ahead and pass it on
Na, na-na, na-na
It's free with a coupon, coupon

Let me re-, let me reintroduce myself
Case you forgot, no, I'm not records on your shelf
I'm still the original-riginal old me, yeah
Original-riginal old me
So let me re-, let me reintroduce myself, yeah

I'm still the original me, yeah
I'm still, I'm still
I'm still the original me, yeah
I'm still, I'm still
The simple recipe to get the best of me
Homegrown ingredients, that's what made you mess with me

So let me re-, let me reintroduce myself
Case you forgot, no, I'm not records on your shelf
I'm still the original-riginal old me, yeah
Original-riginal old me
So let me re-, let me reintroduce myself, yeah

I'm still the original me, yeah (hey)
I'm still, I'm still
So let me re-, let me reintroduce myself, yeah

This track marks the artist's first release since her Christmas album which was dropped at the tail end of October. This track was produced in its entirety by Luke Niccoli. It is likely the first single off her yet to be named the fifth album. The track was released on December 7, 2020, via major streaming platforms.

What the artist means The track has a country and pop vibe to it, Gwen Stefani is singing about all the things her lover has to do to get the best of her. She's bugging herself up, flexing her vocal range, and using the melodies to her advantage. The track stays true to the name, she's letting her lover know that she isn't a mere record on his shelf, she's still the original her. She's riding the beat admirably, finding pockets of space to strut her stuff. She feels good, great, and alright with a wide smile on her face. She's been around for a while, she lets us know that has skyrocketed her demand and value, and not the other way round. There's a simple recipe needed to get the best of her, she doesn't hesitate to remind her lover and prospective new ones.

What the song means to me Gwen Stefani has been around for what seems like she's now, first earning acclaim as a member of No Doubt, and later as a single performer. This track is a worthy reminder of what made her so loved as one of America's pop sweethearts. Her voice is crystal clear on this record, the message is straight up lit, and she's sounding more alive than she has for quite a long time. Her vocal register is as sharp as ever, the production is simply top-notch, and I fell in love with her charisma from the first note she sang. This track makes me feel vibrant, glad, and optimistic. It's another reminder that the new me does not compete with the old version of me, there's a reason to reintroduce myself to any doubter that has a differing opinion. I will give this song a rating of 8/10.

Gwen Stefani has once again released a new hit song, "Let Me Reintroduce Myself." While the song does not feature her beau, Blake Shelton, the song's energy is lively and features Andy Warhol in the music video. The song is Stefani's way of saying that she is back with new music and incorporating a feel of some of her previous hits. "Let Me Reintroduce Myself" is a feel-good reggae-inspired song that is easy to dance to and remember all the lyrics to belt out in the car. The song focuses on her being "the original me [Stefani]" and being more than the "records on your shelf." Stefani's new song is a nod to her previous musicality and hits and brings Stefani into the modern music spotlight once again.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer

In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
