Yeah, you got that yummy, yum
That yummy, yum
That yummy, yummy
Yeah, you got that yummy, yum
That yummy, yum
That yummy, yummy

Say the word, on my way
Yeah babe, yeah babe, yeah babe
Any night, any day
Say the word, on my way
Yeah babe, yeah babe, yeah babe
In the morning or late
Say the word, on my way

Bona fide stallion
You ain't in no stable, no, you stay on the run
Ain't on the side, you're number one
Yeah, every time I come around, you get it done

Fifty-fifty, love the way you split it
Hunnid racks, help me spend it, babe
Light a match, get litty, babe
That jet set, watch the sunset kinda, yeah, yeah
Rollin' eyes back in my head, make my toes curl, yeah, yeah

Yeah, you got that yummy, yum
That yummy, yum
That yummy, yummy
Yeah, you got that yummy, yum
That yummy, yum
That yummy, yummy

Say the word, on my way
Yeah babe, yeah babe, yeah babe
Any night, any day
Say the word, on my way
Yeah babe, yeah babe, yeah babe
In the morning or late
Say the word, on my way

Standing up, keep me on the rise
Lost control of myself, I'm compromised
You're incriminating, no disguise
And you ain't never running low on supplies

Fifty-fifty, love the way you split it
Hunnid racks, help me spend it, babe
Light a match, get litty, babe
That jet set, watch the sunset kinda, yeah, yeah
Rollin' eyes back in my head, make my toes curl, yeah, yeah

Yeah, you got that yummy, yum
That yummy, yum
That yummy, yummy (and you stay flexing on me)
Yeah, you got that yummy, yum
That yummy, yum (yeah)
That yummy, yummy

Say the word, on my way
Yeah babe, yeah babe, yeah babe (yeah babe)
Any night, any day
Say the word, on my way
Yeah babe, yeah babe, yeah babe (yeah babe)
In the morning or late
Say the word, on my way

Hop in the Lambo, I'm on my way
Drew House slippers on with a smile on my face
I'm elated that you are my lady
You got the yum, yum, yum, yum
You got the yum, yum, yum, whoa
Whoa-ooh

Yeah, you got that yummy, yum
That yummy, yum
That yummy, yummy
Yeah, you got that yummy, yum
That yummy, yum
That yummy, yummy

Say the word, on my way
Yeah babe, yeah babe, yeah babe (yeah babe)
Any night, any day
Say the word, on my way
Yeah babe, yeah babe, yeah babe (yeah babe)
In the morning or late
Say the word, on my way

The reason Why I can't make a video about this is because It is very sexy, I don't want to get blocked again on Facebook because of This music but I really like this song!

I only play this When I'm Alone Sometimes if I get too busy at home I leave my Speaker On and some music like this is Normal Its not really sexual

I'm not going to praise this song, or Justin Bieber. He made this song as a quick cash grab after coming back from not writing songs for a VERY LONG TIME. It's quite honestly and idiotic song and I'm ashamed that the people who listen to this drivel are in my generation. He obviously made this song just so his fans could get him to the top of the charts so he can thicken up his wallet just a little bit. He even made an instagram post instructing his fans how to download his song MULTIPLE TIMES using a VPN just so he would get more downloads to get him to number one on the billboards 100. In that same post he instructed these kids to play the song on repeat. THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENED if you're reading this and are as shocked as I am, please look it up. There should be NO mixed reviews on this subject. It's just bad.

Bieber has some decent music but this song is the epitome of stupid fucking music that kills brain cells. C’mon dude.

First time I heard this song I thought it was about coke. Split it 50/50. Never run out of supplies.Eyes roll to the back of my head. Idk, it could totally just be about sex. If it IS about his wife, way to keep your love life on the down low.

It was a bold choice on Justin’s part to drop a summer anthem in the winter. He’s received some flack for that, and for the song itself, which is understandable. This is his first solo single since 2015, and it has received mixed reviews from his fans. A lot of people on Twitter weren’t happy with the song, saying it wasn’t the right vibe or that he seemed too desperate for people to listen and buy it. The lyrics can get a little repetitive and seem braggy, but a lot of successful pop music has the exact same ingredients.

Justin’s promo choices may be what hurt the song’s reputation in the end, because he pushed it so heavily on social media. Although I understand some of the criticism for Yummy, I think overall it’s a solid song with a good beat and a melody that gets stuck in your head. One thing that can’t be denied about Yummy; it’s a classic example of a catchy, bubblegum pop song by an artist who’s an expert in the industry. And it’s definitely on my playlist.

When I interpret Bieber’s new “Yummy” lyrics, I feel like I’ve honestly developed food poisoning from his spoiled, over-sexualized lyrics. He uses too much overt sex and lasciviousness to hint at his sexual relationship with his model wife, Hailey.

For example, he proclaims, “Any night, any day Say the word, on my way Yeah babe, yeah babe, yeah babe In the mornin' or the late Say the word, on my way.”

As far as the writing, I feel like it’s much too forced in the carnal and sexy attempts here. He really seems to lack creativity in this one as he calls himself as “stallion” of sex, as noted in: “Bona fide stallion Ain't in no stable, no, you stay on the run Ain't on the side, you're number one Yeah, every time I come around, you get it done (You get it done).”

Perhaps this metaphor might appeal Kentucky Derby or equestrian fans, but it’s honestly not crossing the finish line for me aesthetically. Besides, it definitely confuses me, especially when he is allegedly so religiously devout.

His lyrics in “Yummy” to me are more crummy and indicative of “Sex in the City” vibes than true artistry.

Even though the song has received a lot of mixed reviews, this is what I think: For an Artiste who has songs topping the charts, Yummy seems a little bit under the belt.

It seems to be the lyrics actually, not as catchy as I anticipated. It lacks the kind of appeal you expect once you hear the name "Justin Bieber". I prefer to listen to songs over and over so as to get a full grasp of what's actually on.

As I listened again, I increasingly found the word "yummy" unattractive. The fact that it was repeated in the chorus just makes it worse. If Justin was trying to reach on to the ladies on this one, which I think is the deal, he didn't make a great word pick.

Even though the song is doing pretty good on the charts, making the second spot in barely 2 weeks of release, it still has not satisfied the Hunger Justin has created in me while on his Solo vacation. This is not the worst song ever heard but it isn't on the A list either. It is a song that will rake massive online listens, but I think it is one that won't be etched on our memories for too long.

The song is a tribute to none other than his newlywed wife, Hailey Bieber. He refers to her as a “bona fide stallion” that he hit up any day, any time. In the fourth verse, he sings: Fifty-fifty, love the way you split it Hundred racks, help me spend it, babe Light a match, get litty, babe That jet set, watch the sunset kinda, yeah, yeah Rollin' eyes back in my head, make my toes curl, yeah, yeah

The verse clearly gives an in insight into Justin’s sex life and there is no other obvious way he could’ve written it.

    Before the bridge, he sings:

Hop in the Lambo, I’m on my way Drew House slippers on with a smile on my face I’m elated that you are my lady You got the yum, yum, yum, yum You got the yum, yum-yum, woah Woah-ooh

We see that Bieber creates product placement by mentioning his “Drew House” slippers – his own fashion line which features a smiley face logo and the word “Drew”, his middle name, on what is usually comfortable and loose-fitted clothing. After the product placement verse, Bieber returns to describing how essentially “yummy” Hailey Bieber is.

Growing up as a young girl as Justin Bieber took the world by storm with great pop music and that iconic hairstyle will always be a part of my childhood. Watching him grow as my friends and I did, and seeing his musical style change with that growth, has been really cool to see, too. It’s 2020 now, 12 years after the release of his first album, he’s a married man, and his musical style reflects his shift into adulthood.

Bieber has now begun a new era, with his recent release of the song “Yummy.” While this has been met with mixed reviews, many people have been excited to see Bieber ready to release new music, and I for one am ready to see this next album experiment with a variety of new styles, tones, and genres as we see a new decade of Justin Bieber.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer

In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
