I think this song is about how the struggle with addiction can become it's own form of suicide essentially. If you keep walking down that dark, dangerous path long enough eventually you'll come to face to face with the end of yourself, but by then it'll be too late.

This song has a very deep meaning the lyrics that stick out the most to me atleast are you carry this weight trying to cover your mistakes to make it seem like nothing could break you and if you needed proof i'll reopen my wounds. This is now my favorite song by killswitch
