Choke

Seems to me the lyrics are about a goodbye. Well, that's pretty obvious, but my point who's saying goodbye to whom. Maybe it's a father/mother saying goodbye to their son/daughter, or a man/woman saying goodbye to their lover. One way or the other, the person who's speaking is tired of a situation that is tearing both him/her and the other person apart, and him/her is also tired of the other person being so proud and never admitting his/her mistakes or whatever. Still seems to me that the person who speaks is a father/mother who is saying goodbye to their son/daughter, and this one is leaving the house because he can't bear living in it anymore.

I feel like it is about heartbroken people who are together with someone simply because they don't want to be alone.

Hearts that have previously been broken but are somewhat mended

"Part of something or all of nothing"

They feel like it is better to be in a relationship without love than to be alone.

That's how I feel at least, maybe someone can elaborate on this idea.

I feel like this song is a dialog between a child about to leave home, and a parent or parents. It's about the strained ties of family and the fear of being alone if those ties are cut... but from the lyrics it sounds like it has to happen, regardless of how bitter that may be.

I think it’s absolutely talking to the fans out there that have a negative attitude towards the current AIC. Jerry’s like, this is the direction we are headin’, you’re either with us or you can go fuck yourself lol.

This song to me is talking to us. The fams of a amazing band who has seen the best years of their life now gone. Now that theyve picked up the pieces amd started again on spmething so fragile. Jerry os saying hey this is who we are and if u cant follow or dont like it then its a good day to you. Its really heart breaking i cant listen to it sometimes. I want to continue with them but like he said. Hes practiced good byes. So should we.....

This is a song Jerry is writing to his estranged pet goat. The goat and Jerry have had some great times and it seems implied at one time the goat was at one time was Jerry's savior. The "walls" refers to the fence that the goat lived in at Jerry's farm.

Now the goat seems to have become fragile following some event, possibly broken bones from the fence collapsing. The goat has too much pride to accept Jerry's help, feeling their friendship is unequal now that he's so needy. The "choking" refers to how goats can eat and swallow just about anything so they typically DON'T choke. Jerry feels his goat WILL choke on his pride all alone until he wants to keep living at his home.
