I feel like it is about heartbroken people who are together with someone simply because they don't want to be alone.
"Fragile things so close together Taped up broken from before"
Hearts that have previously been broken but are somewhat mended
"Part of something or all of nothing"
They feel like it is better to be in a relationship without love than to be alone.
That's how I feel at least, maybe someone can elaborate on this idea.
