Out of the forest I
Come forth brandishing
Collective colours of a warriors mind
One night to finish this
Took our sky to ground
Bowled us uverboard
Hook in the mouth of God
Rolled us underground

I opened my eyes
Was born in a fire
Too much for my head my heart
Thorn by desires
I clung onto blades
Don't step on the morning light
So much for my head my heart
Return to the fire
Desires, Desires

Hung from gossamer
Find fire the spirits of
Memories of meadows
And the day in our eye
All ornaments of love
We took our sky to ground
Bowled us overboard
Hook in the mouth of God
Rolled us underground

I feel your cooling off on me
You find it hard to feel the love for me

ok so i found a notebook when i whas really high and listening to this song so i wrote a lot of stuff there: I think this song is about humanity falling into sin.

"Love i know i've been away now im back"- i think this is lucifer talking to god, the whole first verse is from lucifer's perspective

"Out of the forest I Come forth brandishing Collective colours of a warriors mind One night to finish this" Lucifer gets to eden, already fallen, with free thoughts(collective colours)that he learnt by disobeing, but at the same time he is hurt by god and wants to corrupt his most beloved creation:humans

"Took our sky to ground Bowled us uverboard Hook in the mouth of God Rolled us underground" This verse is human-perspective, how lucifer got them kicked out and how everything outside was so different, pain, hunger, etc. It also says how lucifer did all of this by pure revenge, because he is hurt by god.(hook in the mouth of god- god kicking him out)

"I opened my eyes Was born in a fire Too much for my head my heart Thorn by desires Now being born in this earth without eden's comforts is like hell, also the heart is thorn by desires(sin) I clung onto blades Don't step on the morning light So much for my head my heart Return to the fire Desires, Desires" How there is so so many horrible things on earth(death, hate, rape, etc)people tend to forget the good parts,to not look at god, and the beautiful things, maybe because seeing how beautiful things can be the bad things look horrible, so its better to just "return to the fire " "and clung onto blades" and then truly horrible things will just be bad,so they just keep sinning

"Hung from gossamer Find fire the spirits of Memories of meadows And the day in our eye All ornaments of love This is basically remembering life in eden, no hunger.no pain, but now since humans are just trapped in this world of sin, hate,"ornaments of love" may mean crosses, symbols, deep down, god itself.

We took our sky to ground Bowled us overboard Hook in the mouth of God Rolled us underground

In this verse, humans accept that deep down, they would have eaten the apple even if lucifer wasnt there, we did it deep down, we got "hooked" on the mouth (word)of god, saying that we couldnt eat the apple, but you always want what you cant have, basically,we screwed ourselves over, and we dont have to blame satan for that.

I feel your cooling off on me You find it hard to feel the love for me

This is humans talking to god,how they understand how bad they have become, how they can feel god cooling off on them abandoning us leaving us with global warming, death, injustice and no signal of existence,we understand that its hard to love us because we are cruel.

im not even religious tho, i dont know why high-me thought of this

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song "Fortnight" by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word "fortnight" shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.
