Show me a sign, show me a reason to give
A solitary fuck about your god damn beliefs
I'm going blind, but one thing's clear
Death is the only salvation you'll fear

Brick by brick by brick
Brick by brick by brick

What you call faith, I call a sorry excuse
Cloak and daggers murder the truth
The bitter taste, there's nothing else
I'll bow for your king when he shows himself

Brick by brick by brick
These walls begin to cave in
The house of wolves you built
Whispers in a thousand tongues

Show me your face, show me a reason to think,
My soul can be saved if I sell you my sins
I'm going blind, but one thing's clear
Death is the only salvation for me

Brick by brick by brick
These walls begin to cave in
The house of wolves you built
Whispers in a thousand tongues

The house wolves you built
The house wolves you built
(The nest of animals you built)
The house of wolves you built
Will burn just like a thousand suns

And when you die, the only kingdom you'll see
Is 2 foot wide and 6 foot deep

And when you die, the only kingdom you'll see
Is two foot wide and six foot deep
And when you die, the only kingdom you'll see
Is two foot wide and six foot deep

Brick by brick by brick
Brick by brick by brick
Brick by brick by brick
These walls begin to cave in
The house of wolves you built
Whispers in a thousand tongues

Brick by brick by brick
These walls begin to cave in
The house of wolves you built
Will burn just like a thousand suns

You said you want me
Now I'm here, now I'm here, now I'm here
You said you want me
Now I'm here, now I'm here, now I'm here

    My Opinion

uhm i really think this song is about questioning religion and all that bullshit people follow when they themselves do not even know if god exists (:

    My Interpretation

This is definitely, a rejection of religion. However it can be confusing as the song takes both an Atheistic approach and an Agnostic approach. It rejects the notion of an afterlife. "And when you die, the only kingdom you'll see is two foot wide and six foot deep." This is a very Atheistic outlook. The Agnosticism comes through in: "I'll bow for your king when he shows himself". I am Atheist but I can see how this song may confuse people at times. But it is no where near as confusing as crooked young xD

    My Interpretation

"Show me a sign, show me a reason to give A solitary fuck about your god damn beliefs"

Why should we believe, what reason is there to believe?

"I'm going blind, but one thing's clear Death is the only salvation you'll feel"

I don't know for sure, I think that the salvation that the belief gives is fake and the only salvation there is, is when you die.

"Brick by brick by brick Brick by brick by brick"

Process of building something, a belief or trust.

"What you call faith, I call a sorry excuse Cloak and daggers murder the truth"

Faith is an excuse for certain events that happen in your life, it's fake and the truth is covered.

"The bitter taste, there's nothing else I'll bow for your king when he shows himself"

He will only believe if the person he should believe in shows himself, he wants the truth and proof, otherwise he won't.

"Brick by brick by brick These walls begin to cave in The house of wolves you built Is burning a thousand times"

Walls begin to cave in, I think that the walls of a house weaken or it fall apart, the house of wolves symbolizes a pack of wolves which I think are the believers, wolves always come in packs, the believers are these 'wolves' and they are trying to convince you."is burning a thousand times/like a thousand suns" means that it's falling apart (just like the walls).

"Show me your face, show me a reason to think, My soul can be saved if I sell you my sins"

Give him the truth, how can you be 'saved' if he confesses his mistakes or sins, which is a habit of believers (sinning or confessing)

"I'm going blind, but one thing's clear Death is the only salvation for me"

    Same as the other one

"Brick by brick by brick These walls begin to cave in The house of wolves you built Is burning a thousand times"

    Same as the other one

(The wolves you built) (the wolves you built) (The nest of wolves you built) The house of wolves you built Will burn just like a thousand suns

    Same as the other one

"And when you die, the only kingdom you'll see Is 2 foot wide and 6 foot deep"

There is no afterlife, the only kingdom (which symbolizes heaven for example) you will see is the place you go to when you are burried, that is the place you lay in (deep in the ground) when you die is 2 foot wide and 6 foot deep)

And when you die, the only kingdom you'll see Is two foot wide and six foot deep And when you die, the only kingdom you'll see Is two foot wide and six foot deep

    Same as the other one

"Brick by brick by brick Brick by brick by brick Brick by brick by brick These walls begin to cave in The house of wolves you built Is burning a thousand times"

    Same as the other one

"Brick by brick by brick These walls begin to cave in The house of wolves you built Will burn just like a thousand suns"

    Same as the other one

"You said you want me Now I'm here, now I'm here, now I'm here You said you want me Now I'm here, now I'm here, now I'm here"

He got asked to belief, but now he's here, I don't know exactly what happens next. I think he gives in to the belief: "now i'm here"

In my opinion this song is about Oli's first contact with some kind of mental help. This person told him to believe and maybe pray for better days. Basically Oli wanted true help because he admitted that somenthing is wrong with him but he was feeded with some shitty religious stuff.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
