In the end, as we fade into the night (whoa)
Who will tell the story of your life?
In the end, as my soul's laid to rest
What is left of my body?
Or am I just a shell?
And I have fought
And with flesh and blood, I commanded an army
Through it all
I have given my heart for a moment of glory (I gave it all)

In the end, as you fade into the night (whoa)
Who will tell the story of your life? (Whoa)
And who will remember your last goodbye? (Whoa)
'Cause it's the end and I'm not afraid
I'm not afraid to die

I'm not afraid
I'm not afraid to die

Born a saint
Though, with every sin, I still wanna be holy
I will live, again
Who we are isn't how we live
We are more than our bodies
If I fall, I will rise back up and relive my glory

In the end, as we fade into the night (whoa)
Who will tell the story of your life? (Whoa)
And who will remember your last goodbye? (Whoa)
'Cause it's the end and I'm not afraid
I'm not afraid to die

In the end, as you fade into the night (whoa)
Who will tell the story of your life? (Whoa)
And who will remember your last goodbye? (Whoa)
'Cause it's the end, and I'm not afraid
I'm not afraid to die

Who will remember this last goodbye? (Whoa)
'Cause it's the end, and I'm not afraid
I'm not afraid to die

I'm not afraid
I'm not afraid to die
Not afraid
I'm not afraid to die

    My Interpretation

This song holds a lot of meaning for me. It's really hard to explain. People generally aren't afraid to die. They are more afraid that they won't be known when they do. So who would remember their last words? They are afraid of dying alone with no one there. Maybe it's a song about fulfilling accomplishments before you die. Or maybe about not being single when you do.

    My Interpretation

I'm sorry if you disagree, but I believe this song is actually about being ready for anything. "I'm not afraid to die" makes me feel like you should be prepared for the impossible-no matter hoe far-fetched it may seem.

youtube.com/watch Andy on in the end "I was going through the death of my grandfather at the time. I was very close to him and he was someone I grew up with, both of my parents worked full time. Every day I would go to his house after school and he formed me into the man that I became." The song is about Andy Beirsack's view of heaven of "If nothing else, heaven is the legacy for the people around you. If there is a Heaven that's wonderful but you can't deny that those people telling the story after you've lived it they are the ones creating that afterlife, that legacy that you were someone of important someone of substance.

    My Opinion

I feel this song is about living your life to it's fullest no matter what. Being able to move on from this life without regret or sorrow of things left undone and leaving your mark on the world. As mortals we will all die at some time, but our legacies will live on through our friends, family, acquaintances & history. All the people you have left an impression on, what story will they tell of your life?

i think this song is about believing in heaven. the writer is trying to convince himself he does/ imagening what it was like if he did.

    My Opinion

This is just my thought... so ya. I think that the song is about a person who is considering being religious, and what it would be like. This person is saying that "in the end" he is not afraid to die because he knows that heaven is waiting for him. It could also mean that this person does not want to die without being remembered. He/ she wants someone to remember them when they die.

    My Interpretation

I heard this thought it as a really heavy song. I think this song is about being on the break of suicide. "Who will remember this last goodbye" "I'm not afraid to day" kind of gave me this isea

    My Opinion

After seeing this song live, and listening to it loads, my idea is that this song is about suicide, and its his way of saying "im not afraid to die" and creating an image of his Heaven, so he thinks he will be safer.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.
