Through sadness you have taught us to be one with the crowd
Unveil the sacred order, hymns of falling down
You told the greatest stories, of love and bleeding crowns
But to the sick and hungry, you cannot be found

We are young and we are strong
Through strength in self we become
Something more than they can be
I raise my heart 'n say

That I wont believe this lie
I know there's something more inside
When darkness is all you see
This is our sweet blasphemy

Silence the crooked holy, unchain the tied and bound
No time for allegory, one true reigning sound
Unite the lonely mourning, a simple servant now
We are the only glory, hear us screaming loud

We are young and we are strong
I raise my heart 'n say

That I wont believe this lie
I know there's something more inside
When darkness is all you see
This is our sweet blasphemy

We are young and we are strong
Through strength in self we become
Something more than they can be
This is our sweet blasphemy

That I wont believe this lie
I know there's something more inside
When darkness is all you see
This is our sweet blasphemy

in my opinion this song is pretty much about being above the crowd and really just being yourself

    Song Meaning

This song is about being an atheist, overall.

Sweet Blasphemy; the definition of Blasphemy is an act of cursing or reviling God.

"That I wont believe this lie I know there's something more inside Darkness is all you see This is our Sweet Blasphemy"

    • He won't believe the lie of the supposed 'God', he knows theres more to it than that.

"Silence the crooked holy, unchain the tied and bound No time for allegory, one true reigning sound Unite the lonely mourning, a simple servant now We are the only glory, hear us screaming loud"

    • Silence the people who are spreading the lies of 'God';
    • Allegory is an abstract spiritual meaning or belief represented in concrete forms, such as the Bible.
    • The people that are the true 'glory' are the ones that realize that there is no God.

Now, yes, this song could have a double meaning to it. The simple meaning with the lyrics "We are young and we are strong, through strength in self we become something more than they can be," can mean just be yourself and don't let anyone bring you down.

But I still think the real, deep meaning is what I explained before.

This song is a beautiful song!!! It does have a strong religious touch though This song is basically about how we should just love who we are without anyone telling us what to do Say I went into a church looking like Andy the church would throw me out almost!! And the Christians would say CHANGE before you enter this home Well if god loves me for who I am why is he judging me like this huh!!

Really great song! I'm not part of the BVB army cause I have my own, but we love you guys!!!

People are tired of lies and foamy talkers like politicians and religious leaders, who talk talk talk but nobody benefits but themselves. Real changes will come from real people who suffer in the wake of others bad decisions.

all their lies, the pain and hurt they caused us has made us look at not the reflection in the mirror but our true self, and in that truth we have found true strength, true power, the power they they feared we'd have, and with that power and strength we create a better place where all are safe. "through strength in self we become more than they can be"

To JustinRomano especially......I am christian. I'm also part of the BVB army. I'm the bridge and it's really hard. The church that kicks you out for how you look might just be the craziest church ever. Yes every church is that way. EXCEPT for one. Church of God Ministry of Jesus Christ International. I love this church because no one judges. Guys with their bodies covered in tattoos and piercings walk in and are welcomed just like everyone else. We have been taught that God doesn't look at appearances...but our intentions. Of course nobody knows exactly what God wants. But we do what we think keeps us out of trouble. There was a woman who brought cigarettes to church and she would put them on a seat next to her. Nobody minded. Everyone greeted her kindly. Then again I don't read the bible. Its hard to stay focused, but I hate how everyone creates a certain image for religious people. I don't wear crosses or kneel for statues and images. I know there is a God out there but at the same time I'm loud and I love BVB but I don't let things get out of order. The religious stereotype needs to stop because we aren't fanatics. Most religious people are....but a large portion of us don't take things to the extreme. BVB FOREVER BTW I listen to the music and nothing I hear could change my love for God

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
