The Gunsling Lyrics
this town's renegade is near.
Standing tall, awaiting host
wha'ts it like to see a ghost?
Both outlaws equal, yes indeed,
a one shot rhythm to the gunsling
so long my sweet.
Bye Bye.
he draws from this holster, a man.
Crawlin' alone through the soot and stone,
he makes his way home half to death.
He fires loud,
the end is close,
what's it like to be a ghost?
Both outlaws equal, yes indeed, a one shot rhythm to the gunsling,
so long my sweet.
"take your life"
I cannot take this lying down.
NO!
he draws from this holster, a man.
Crawlin' alone through the soot and stone,
he makes his way home half to death.
I wash my hands, of yesterday.
If I should fall,
if I should pass,
it's worth one last stand before the gates of hell.
"take your life"
I cannot take this lying down.
NO!
he draws from this holster, a man.
Crawlin' alone through the soot and stone,
he makes his way home half to death.
I wash my hands, of yesterday.
If I should fall,
if I should pass,
it's worth one last stand before the gates of hell.

this song is amazing but i think i get the rest of the song, not hard to get, but the only time i dunt get is "he draws from his holster a man" wtf does taht mean

this song to me means. a man who has to fight himself through everything hes gone through...its mentally fighting himself not phusically...im a poet...sooo...Hes trying to figure out what path to take,

I wrote the song before the band formed its new lineup. My name is Nate and I played guitar with the group during the time increment for which this particular one was written. I just so happened to write this one; lyrics, guitar, and bass. It actually is what it is. I always liked songs that created a dualism approach to the lyrical content; likewise duality exists in every walk of reality multi-versally. So, the meaning is what it is. It's just an ode to two opposite, yet equal, entities that use the universe as their battle ground; hence the very basic definition of dualism.

um well i think that this song is really just saying that the person this is sung about(which is not neccesarrily Andy Sixx because he sings it) has done alot wrong with himself and his life so he knows darn well that he is already going to hell so taking this one last stand against something is worth it even though it may result in soing something even more wrong than the initial problem(killing the man) so um yeah. there u go

Well, Lets See. Reading The Lyrics And listening to the song, it makes me wonder if it's about taking his life. Whe the lyrics read..."I hear those voices calling, "take your life" I cannot take this lying down. NO!" It makes me think of someone listening to the voice inside their head. But then again it could be about A man standing strong. Maybe Feeling Alone? Hahah, I Could Be Completly Wrong. :P

Does anybody else love the way he says the line, 'So long my sweet...' Aha, i'm listening to it now... Mmm... (:

I believe this song is About Billy the kid.. think of his story.

love this song...i think it means that a man feels alone and diesnt want to live anymore....lol i might be wrong.

I think its about a man that knows that he is going to dei and he is taking his finel stance, and he knows hes going to hell.

Omg i loved the ending wow i love it when you scream ANDY SIX <3 xD
