Sorry Jaynari, sorry Jaynari, (sorry Jaynari, sorry Jaynari ...)
Ah, ah, ah
Woop, woop, woop, woop
Bow, bow
Bow, bow
Bow, bow
Woop, woop, listen

I'm young and unashamed, 'cause my age don't mean a thang
I don't do this for the dollars but I do wanta see change
I be reppin' like a gang, crucifix up on my chain
Same Bible, different data, God I serve him, ain't playin' games
I hit 'em with the word of God, bow! bow!
Luke ten nineteen, bow! bow!
Romans one sixteen, bow! bow!
John three sixteen, bow! bow!

And everyday I gotta win a soul
Never slackin', I meet the quota
Worldly people do it for the money, godly people do it for Jehovah
Get it poppin' like champagne
Praise God, not Dre Da Flame
Rich in heaven, I can make it rain
Literally, not chump change
Unashamed, swagged out, illuminated, mad cow
I ain't scared of no evil spirit, right now I feel like Pacquiao
Watch out for the serpent, like a mongoose, I'll kill a snake
Christian rappers man unrated, I think it's time to elevate
All glory to God though
I don't feel people, I'm macho
If sin comes, I'm outro
I dash just like Rosco
Thank, thank you God for being who you are
I love your love, it's so bizarre
I'm baptized with holy fire, smokin' like Alissa Geyer
Young man and I'm single, the love of God is all I need
I bust open that Bible, no hesitation my soul feeds
God is being so good to me
He freed my from iniquity
Gotta watch your step carefully 'cause sometimes it get slippery

I'm young and unashamed, 'cause my age don't mean a thang
I don't do this for the dollars but I do wanta see change
I be reppin' like a gang, crucifix up on my chain
Same Bible, different data, God I serve him, ain't playin' games
I hit 'em with the word of God, bow! bow!
Luke ten nineteen, bow! bow!
Romans one sixteen, bow! bow!
John three sixteen, bow! bow!

I used to love that girl Mary Jane but I dumped her for wisdom
Twelve deep in weed mom, I got my Bible so let's go get 'em
No I'm not a Jehovah's Witness but I bring the gospel to your front door
If it ain't about Jesus Christ, like Trey Songz I gotta go
No sex, I'm celibate, Imma gig like Seever
I don't smoke weed I'm super nerdy, I think that's why I got a small circle
I stay with the Son like a ninja turtle
I need my brain so I quit the purple
Anybody try to get in my way, Imma turn 'em into a track hurdle
Yah, Yahweh is my savior
Lord show me your favor
Don't hate because I got favor
I get it from the creator
God's love is so major
I'll take holy water, no gator
And we don't gotta get right here,
We can chill like a glacier
Now call the doctor, I got a swag infection
I'm pop poppin' music to the antidote
I don't care what anybody say, God is good and my life is dope
I don't follow the crowd unless the crowd is followin' Jesus
We on facebook goin' ham, them evil people delete us, ey

Chorus:
I'm young and unashamed, 'cause my age don't mean a thang
I don't do this for the dollars but I do wanta see change
I be reppin' like a gang, crucifix up on my chain
Same Bible, different data, God I serve him, ain't playin' games
I hit 'em with the word of God, bow! bow!
Luke ten nineteen, bow! bow!
Romans one sixteen, bow! bow!
John three sixteen, bow! bow!

Ah, ah, ah, ah
Woop, woop, woop, woop
Bow, bow
Bow, bow
Bow, bow
Woop, woop

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.
