Ey, Dre Da Flame, Matrix studios in here on fire for Christ
'Bout to make some music so the Christians can dance to
To glorify God

Verse 1:
If I didn't have the Lord in me I don't know where I would be
I'm surrounded by the sharks like I'm a guppy in the sea
I'm dodging all the obstacles
Haters are irrelevant
Small, but my heart is bigger than a grown elephant
Blazin' for Lord, the new name, Dre Da Flame
Everybody sick of struggling but do not want to change
I used to smoke weed, it made me laugh, I didn't care
I used to think the reefer made my lyrics hotter than a flare
Tried to took away my hurtin' with the pain was slit air
It was really slowin' me down, and I was unaware
I was unaware the Lord gave me this gift of rappin'
Now I step open in the booth, and I spit and make it happen
God has been so good, I'm not lookin' back
The Lord makes me happy, not a blunt, not a smack
I'm searchin' for a girl to love but I don't wanta sex
I'm waiting 'til I'm married, she ain't with it, next

Chorus:
I'm godly to the core and I will never be ashamed
On the team with God, coach threw me in the game
I take my Bible everywhere and I will never change
I'm aimin' for the kingdom like I let a shooter rain
I'm godly to the core and I will never be ashamed
On the team with God, coach threw me in the game
I take my Bible everywhere and I will never change
I'm aimin' for the kingdom like I let a shooter rain

Verse 2:
Okay, Lord I want to thank you for everything, you're astonishing
God is working through me, the haters he is demolishing
I be on my Godly thang, it's God over everything
I don't feel no heat, but I am baptized with the holy flame
God is so amazing, I'm blazing, the fire won't put out
Getting all the youth in the churches is everything I'm about
Glad to be a Christian, come get with the friction
I get it started for God like the keys in the ignition
God is on my mind, boy, gotta stay prayed up
I want to make it to heaven, I got my mind made up
You can't stop me, knock me, or block me
I'm not being cocky, it's because I'm godly
Thanks to the Lord I am saved like a floppy
God I want to be like you, the Lord is who I copy
Get life, you know, get life, like me
'Cause I'm tryin' get like G.O.E.

Verse 3:
I make music that the people that'll dance to (dance to)
God is my strength, you can't break me like bamboo (bamboo)
Holy Bros, G.O.E., what it be, all day
On a straight path, like I'm up in a hallway
God is in my heart, just like a blood cell
The body that I have is temporary like a hotel
And God is better than good, 'cause he created the word
If you don't like me 'cause I praise God, I don't care
And I'm a church boy, church boys we swing too
And like a sweater with no hood, I'm with my Christian crew
Theo Rogers on the beat so you know it bang
I don't curse, I'm a square like preacher frames
I'm a little different, I got the Holy Ghost
I'm in the presence of the Son like the west coast
God loves us more than our parents do
Have faith in Christ, let him save you

Closing:
I'm godly to the core and I will never be ashamed
On the team with God, coach threw me in the game
I take my Bible everywhere and I will never change
I'm aimin' for the kingdom like I let a shooter rain
I'm godly to core, godly, godly to the core
Godly to the core and I will never be ashamed

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
