George Jones is just as guilty as Garth Brooks is for stealing this song, so why is Garth getting all the flak? It sounds like it's about two guys on the run for beer, and they have to keep it a secret, which explains the spelling of the words "beer" and "run".
Todd Snider's song tells a completely different story than Garth Brooks and George Jones' song.
And this song came out in 2001, while Todd Snider's song came out in 2002, so there is no way they could have covered it.
