She Lit A Fire Lyrics
And I've been across the sea
I've been walking through the mountains
I've wandered through the trees
For her
Want to give what I got
She lit a fire
And now she's in my every thought
Where, I've wandered far
Where, could that girl have gone
She left no trail but I cannot fail
I will find her
And now she's in my every thought
She lit a fire
And now she's in my every thought
Where, I've wandered far
Where, could that girl have gone
She left no trace but I know her face
I will find her
Perhaps my chance was then, I'll never know
I'll search the world until there's no place left to go
And if she leaves it, I will follow
Yes I will follow
And now she's in my every thought
She lit a fire
And now she's in my every thought
And I've been across the sea
I've been walking through the mountains
I've wandered through the trees
For her
Want to give what I got
She lit a fire
And now she's in my every thought
Great track. All love really needs to work is that initial spark of attraction, persisting whatever/whoever started that fire with temerity, and a having a little luck, right? That's all to be heard in this song. Listen.
I don't quite understand the line "She lit a fire, but now she's in my every thought". When it is written like that it comes across as if he wasn't interested at first, but now she possesses all his thoughts.

I think this could be about a former love sparking an interest in a type of women and now you're looking for a certain girl.
I think you nailed it
I think you nailed it
There's something so romantic yet haunting about this song. "She lit a fire but now she's in my every thought". From this, I got that she grew on him to a point where although he may not initially have been attracted to her, now he can't think about anyone else. She felt the sparks between them and was waiting for him to make the first move but he didn't realise at the time "perhaps my chance was then, I'll never know". He won't stop at anything to find her because he believes that she was right all along.
Natalin, your interpretation is inspiring. I agree, as this song gives hope to the girls that fall for the guys of oblivion.
It's simple- it's about a man who has (or is) falling in love with a woman.
