I can see it in your eyes, you're angry
Regret got shit on what you're feeling now
Mad, 'cause he ain't like me
Oh, you mad 'cause nobody ever did it like me
All the care I would take, all the love that we made
Now you're trying to find somebody to replace what I gave to you
It's a shame you didn't keep it, Alicia, Catya
I know that you gon' hear this, I'm the man
Yeah I said it, bitch, I'm the man
Don't you forget it
The way you walk, that's me
The way you talk, that's me
The way you got your hair up, did you forget that's me?
And the voice in your speaker right now, that's me (that's me)
And the voice in your ear, that's me
Can't you see that I made it? Yeah, I made it
First I made you who you are and then I made it
And you're wasted with your ladies
Yeah, I'm the reason why you always getting faded

Take a shot for me (oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh)
Take a shot for me (oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh)
Take a shot for me
A shot for me (yeah)
A shot for me

Okay look, I'm honest
Girl I can't lie, I miss you
You and the music were the only things that I commit to
I never cheated, for the record, back when I was with you
But you believed in everything but me, girl, I don't get you
She says, "I know you changed, I never see you
'Cause you're always busy doing things"
I really wish she had a different way of viewing things
I think the city that we're from just kinda ruined things
It's such a small place, not much to do but talk and listen
The men are jealous and the women all in competition
And now your friends telling you stories that you often misinterpret
And taint all the images of your "Mr. Perfect"
I could tell that you been crying all night, drinking all summer
Praying for your happiness, hope that you recover, uh
This is one I know you hated when you heard it
And it's worse because you know that I deserve it

Take a shot for me (oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh)
Take a shot for me (oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh)
Take a shot for me
A shot for me
A shot for me (yeah)

May your neighbors respect you
Trouble neglect you
Angels protect you
And heaven accept you

This song is an ode to all the women who have broken Drake's heart at some point and now regret it because he has gone on to become bigger than they imagined.

The song has the followin main points :

Drake is expressing pity on the women and sympathising with them on the deep feeling of regret they must feel for breaking his heart and saying look 'I made it, and you're wasted' its a very deep thing like his saying look at me, I did all those things for you and you effed me over but look at me now I'm here and now 'you're wasted with your ladies'.

He tells them he can tell that they have been crying all night, drinking all summer and praying for happiness, after these women left for whatever reason they were never able to find a man like him and he sympathises with the unhappiness however he wants them to know he has now moved on and become a bigger person. They could have been part of this new dream but for whatever reason they left without thinking, now they must drink their sorrow and pain away because Drake is not coming back.

He is also a little bittersweet cockiness notice he says 'I know this is one you hated when you heard it and it's worse because you know that I deserve it' which means he has done this on purpose so they can feel that pain and regret, he wants it to burn and sting them, because they effed him over, and now he getting a revenge.

Finally, he bids them farewell, he hopes they can manage to get over the regret and prays to them 'may your neighbors respect you, trouble neglect you, angels protect you and heaven accept ' this is a strong and deep prayer. He is wishing them a final farewell and hopefully time and alchohol will help them get over the regret of breaking his heart and seeing him do so well after.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
