I love this song, and think it's pretty catchy (maybe I just like him going: "Don't call me Anddddyyy."
My best guess as to meaning: Andrew is probably singing about himself. Maybe when he was younger his nickname was "Andy" and now that he's grown up, become successful, climbed the "mountain," and is "on air," he doesn't want to be referred to as Andy.
The second verse is a little weird. My guess is she is saying that though he successful he still doesn't have a house and maybe really hasn't changed that much from "Andy."
Either way I don't think he's excited about the girl, and maybe that's what is meant by the "don't call me Anne." Anne might be the girl and the line might be: "Don't call me, Anne" with a comma meaning he doesn't want her to call him. She might remind him of his troubled youth?
Just a guess, would love other angles of thought.
