This song is about being an atheist, overall. Sweet Blasphemy; the definition of Blasphemy is an act of cursing or reviling God. "That I wont believe this lie I know there's something more inside Darkness is all you see This is our Sweet Blasphemy" - He won't believe the lie of the supposed 'God', he knows theres more to it than that. "Silence the crooked holy, unchain the tied and bound No time for allegory, one true reigning sound Unite the lonely mourning, a simple servant now We are the only glory, hear us screaming loud" - Silence the people who are spreading the lies of 'God'; - Allegory is an abstract spiritual meaning or belief represented in concrete forms, such as the Bible. - The people that are the true 'glory' are the ones that realize that there is no God. Now, yes, this song could have a double meaning to it. The simple meaning with the lyrics "We are young and we are strong, through strength in self we become something more than they can be," can mean just be yourself and don't let anyone bring you down. But I still think the real, deep meaning is what I explained before. |
