[GROWL x2]

A darkened, dim-lit hallway 'til...
Black lights and figures fly out,
Perfect expression of theater...
And how I've tasted my own blood,

And I've taken and you've given,
Wilted-away... And it won't be long 'til
my visions are clear... And the passion,
the bodies, sucks you in... I feel
this violence consume me, endlessly...
I can't leave the sight of this for
retrospect... And tingling with the gain,
I seem all small with darkened-eyes,
that gives us power over souls,

I can't leave the sight of this for
retrospect... Failings, failings, failings,
And failings, failings, failings...

[GROWL]
I've been allotted night, the other thing is
the flesh at risk... Y'all keep nothing for me,
I will do right, to raise this flesh... Y'all
bring nothing for me,

Enter a builder of fear... To please show them
how to live... White-eyes are burning your skin,
with the envy of the dead...

And I've taken and you've given,
Wilted-away... And it wont be long 'til
my visions are clear... And the passion,
the bodies, sucks you in... I feel
this violence consume me, endlessly...
I can't leave the sight of this for
retrospect... And tingling with the gain,
I seem all small with darkened-eyes,
that gives us power over souls,

I can leave my ignorance behind with you
Failings, failings, failings, And failings,
failings, failings...

As light then fills the eye with tears...
When boiling light hits the skin, Erase the
memory of the light, ignore the object above woods...

Mid-night, I pray that this is much more
than a dream... My little door to worlds
has damned us all to hell...

Every time I look into the mirror--I see it
in my face... I'm possessed by the goblin
child who'll destroy the human race, though,
I haven't forgotten hope... I know the
ancient lore, God will strike me down--to
Hell; forever-more... Into the burial shroud,
ignore love and peace... With his mark upon
my flesh, ignore love and peace... So beat
the darkest heart, ignore love and peace...
Beyond a careful wall, ignore love and peace

I would like to add that I didn't even break a sweat to find this. I thank whoever did and posted it elsewhere.

This song is my favorite at the moment <3 I don't know why .. it releases a huge amount of negative and positive energy. A mix of death , and somehow pleasure. " I can't leave the sight of this for retrospect... And tingling with the gain," < enjoy the show , and don't look behind, nore forward. except for this , I don't really know. Maybe it's about life, and how you're tempted and close to end it often?

Ok Ok have a new idea : maybe it's about .. maybe the show is life, and that show is constantly interrupted by death. Death is the distraction in life . " The passions, the bodies, suck you in, I feel this violence consume me endlessly" < Some things keep you close to life, some make you wanna die , but the choice is yours, you have the strenght to do what you want, but at the risk of being submerged by violence.

" Every time I look into the mirror--I see it in my face... I'm possessed by the goblin child who'll destroy the human race, though, I haven't forgotten hope... I know the ancient lore, God will strike me down--to Hell; forever-more..." < could that goblin be a desease?

necromance theatre sounds like practice of dark arts and defying God because they believe necromancy is right. After they dug up bodies, they were punished by the same god they mocked and damned to hell. but thats what i got out of it. i could be totally off. the violence could be the fighting need to stop the necromancy; a slight feeling that its 'wrong' but not straying off and being a traitor. most occults form an oath and this could be wanting to quit but not because of that family unity and the blood oath. i'm not sure.

    My Interpretation

I believe the song has many vampiric references. Vampires are undead, and "necromancy" is about bringing the dead to life. He mentions his darkened eyes and the taste of blood, both symptoms of vampirism. Also "the passion, the bodies, sucks you in" could refer to the passion and desire to consume the blood of others. And "sucks you in" could actually be a pun. And the "goblin" child is clearly a reference to the elder vampire, or the one who turned him into a vampire.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
