I turned that mans first born to sand
In fact, that's how you have that castle
That you dreamed of, that you wanted
I am here to fix everything.

I took your toothy grin, and left a patch of skin.
I took her batting lashes, changed them from blonde to ashes.
I took the boy with the giant head, and I made his body smaller and his neck too thin.
I took that tongue of that annoying neighbor child, yes, I split it down the middle, let it bleed there for a while.

You are so small, she said...
You are so small.

Hey, while you were out there serving wine
I was up here in the balcony, turning faces white, I said
Hey, while you were out there kissing babies
I was luring kids with lollypops, and now they're pushing daisies.

You are so small.

You will not be heard from for a long time
You will not be found with your rightful hands or eyes
When your mother finds you, you won't believe her cries
Wish the child gone missing had been the child who died.

Hey, you, I can be a miracle man too
Hey, you, I can change everything.
Hey, you, I can be a miracle man too
Hey, you, I can fix everyone.

I turned that mans trophy wife to brass
He'd barely notice a difference.
I taught him she served us no fucking purpose.
I am here to fix everyone.

"Goddamn," you might say.
"Quite the talent," I'd say.

Temper, temper.
Patience, patience.

Don't change me into...

You will not be heard from for a long time
I will be around because, fear will never die
And if they should find you, it'd be a sight to see.
A mass of flesh and muscle, a pile of pulp and teeth.

I am finally a kingdom.
Make use of all the skills that you once told me I had
Took a town of some brains, but mostly fat, and turned them to something beautiful.

I'm not sure about "I turned that mans first born to sin in fact its now you'll ever pass off"

but I think it may be "I turned that mans first born to sand Hey fascist now you have a castle."

"You are so smart, she said" I think "smart" might be "smug" and "You are so smart" I think "smart" is "small"

"Wish the shock i missang in a child who died??" is "Wish the child gone missing, and then ??? died"

pretty sure that "I turned that mans stroking white to brass " is "I turned that mans trophy wife to brass."

"Quite detailing i'd say " I think is "Quite the talent I'd say"

"I will be around because, he will never die" I think "he" is "fear"

"a pile of all front teeth ???" is "A pile of pulp and teeth"

"I am finally a kingdom (kingder)?? may you still fall all the skill that you once told i have ??" is "I am finally a king, dad made use of all the scales that you once told me I had"

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
