I hopped in the van at 6 AM
With a dream and my closest friends
Welcome to the land of the skinny jeans
Then the fifteen passenger van
I'm pulling up to a brand new city
I meet a kid in a purple deep V
He said he used to listen to me
Everybody seems so creepy
Step out the van and I'm feelin' kinda homesick
Too much fluorescent and I'm nervous
When the first band takes the stage
Wearin' super shoes and some fresh tattoos

And everything was Autotune
And everything was Autotuuune

So I put my pants on
They're a little too tight
But I think it's gonna be OK
I'm noddin' my head like yeah
I'm tapping my toes like yeah
It's not a bad song
But the track's too loud
And the drummer doesn't really play
Yeah, it's every band in the USA
Yeah, it's every band in the USA

So we hop on the stage at 9 PM
And turn our amps up loud
They're like "Who's this man playing guitar riffs?
They gotta be from out of town"
I'm singing loud but the crowd's talking over me
This definitely ain't a Chi-town party
Cause everybody's wearing neon
Looking for somebody to creep on
We huddle up and figure out a cover we can play
I rip a fart 'cause I'm nervous
Then I turn to the crowd and ask if they
Wanna hear a Miley Cyrus song
A Miley Cyrus song
Everybody sang along

So I put my hands up
We're playing that song
The butterflies fly away
I'm noddin' my head like yeah
I'm moving my hips like yeah
I put my hands up
They're playing my song
And I know it's gonna be OK
Yeah, it's a party in the USA
Yeah, it's a party in the USA

Glamour Kills won't sponsor us
So All Time Low won't tour with us
But something keeps us on that stage
A Miley Cyrus cover is all the rage

So I put my hands up
They're playing my song

The butterflies fly away
I'm banging my head like YEAH!
I'M PLAYIN' METAL BEATS LIKE YEEEEAH
I put my hands up
They're playing my song
I know it's gonna be OK
Yeah, it's a party in the USA
Yeah, it's a party in the USA

    My Opinion

Great song... I just wish more people would realize Miley Cyrus' (as well as most other popular musicians) music is a joke and treat it as such... Pref. by writing good parodies of them, like this one.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
