It should be "beneath the Lunar Light" even though the video says "luna alight".
I think the song has a lot to do with longing for that special person, but the singer has realized that all they can do is wait for that person to come around and see the love they both can/should share.
"a flatliner for a heartkiller" is the girl has killed his heart, broke it because she was unsure about their love. She had "the fear of failing". Hes dead romantically, flatlined out. but like Lazarus, who rose from the dead, and Frankenstein, who came to life through a single spark, there can be the spark of life/love that brings it back. And he's "waiting, anticipating" with the belief of Love that it can still be.
"Top hats off to the return, of the beat to lick a wound" I see as maybe she comes back around once in a while and they see the love again, however painfully so (tops)hats off (cheers) to such an event, but its "cursed for some and blessed for a few" because it lasts only a short while before she goes again. He tries to tell her "It doesn’t have to make any sense at all" come along with me for the ride and we'll fall in love. "I'm crawling out of patience baby" = I can't take this weak game of cat and mouse any longer.

At first, I didn't like this song much because I thought it was too electronic for my liking. But after listening to it numerous times, I am loving it and the album shall be amazing.

I love this song....and the line "flat liner for a heart killer" intrigued me. pandorvalo777 with the line "flat liner for a heart killer" you are certainly correct, but i believe the true meaning is he went to the lowest level for a HEART KILLER because when an electrocardiogram machine flat lines you are dead medically. A solid straight line is the lowest you can get on the electrocardiogram you cant go any lower you've met the end. So relate this with the term "flat liner for a heart killer" to me (note: to me, meaning an assumption)it means he met rock bottom, he reached the end he couldn't go any lower, for someone who just killed his heart. and this also relates in context with the gloomy death like theme, he flat lined so he died for someone who killed his heart. this is what i think that line means, sorry this comment was repetitive and kind of ramble ish i hope you can get my point
first of all i like to say screw every single one of you guys in the face because i am the biggest him fan in the whole freakin world, anyway dudes i love this song to and i have all of their albums so far they are truly the GREAREST BAND IN THE WORLD.
i think heartkiller is about two people who were in love at one point that accidentaly run into each other after there fall out and ville starts expressing the love he still has for the girl

Although I was expecting something a little more rockin' from HIM - I can't say i'm not satisfied by this awesome song. I like the sound they have to it. It's clearly a HIM original. lol And I must add, I am ecstatic about finding out how the CD will sound as a whole! I just wish they'd give the US an official release date for it so I can make sure I get it THAT day!

I totally agree with pandorvalo777. Thing is with this song, it would have held so much more to me when i was pursing a stable relationship with my girlfriend who is still my partner of 2 years...
But now theres a little rent boy on the scene to try and win her heart through charming. He would like to think that this song relates to him i suppose. The little bastard.
I like this song but i could get bored with it easier than many other HIM songs. Heres hoping that all the new songs on the album match this standard and are if not matched, slightly better.
Cant wait for the album come Valentines Day and oh yes to also so them play in march!!
