I think... I think this is about a woman scorned that decided to commit revenge by killing herself and the person who wronged her because she is so tired.

(and the accident will be the driver running over Rihanna and her smashing through the windscreen and they both die in the fire caused by leaking fuel)

And the rest of the song basically goes through the scene of the accident and how Rihanna would find the scene beautiful because it would be the end of her suffering and also she's putting the blame on her man for making her do it! And she describes how lovely their lives were to the outside world yet between the two everything was too much and they couldnt handle it.

My interpretation of it is that the song is about the demise about a relationship but it was brought about by extrinsic factors which should not have affected the relationship. The lyric "We were killing them" shows the strength of feeling - an all consuming passionate romance, which others could not tolerate for whatever reason. "for me and you to go out blazing" signifies Rihanna's mind set that she is determined to try, despite others' objections, and endure the consequences - for the sake of the potential rapture. To me, I believe it could be about a young love. Two teenagers told they're being silly, his parents more assertive and denying him the right to see his love. This song is her pleading to him to try. "Gunfire" being the continual sniping of their parents; "left a hole in the tank" means their parents got to them and eventually the love which was there seemed to ebb away.

i think that the song is about a relationship that ended and the person didnt want it to end. were it says its pityfull and blue thats the other side of me i didnt light the match you did (not word to word) this tells us that she didnt want the relationship to end but the other person ended it. Also where it says "i just want to set you on fire so i don't have to burn alone" she wants him to feel the pain she is feeling because she doesnt want to feel it by herself and whats to be with him. The song also tells us that they had a good relationship and people were jelous/ wanting a relationship like it (where it says baby we were killin' them they couldnt handle the millionth degree) Also we know she thinks thier relationship could of gone far because it says "you could of been part of a masterpiece" which tells us she thought thier relationship could of been amazing/good.

To me, this song is about a girl who's very eccentric, misunderstood or has a very high temper ("Then you'll know where I'm coming from/Firebomb", "You can call me crazy") who was loved by a boy until he started to judge her and/or started going against her. ("Fire is on my trail, and he's after me", "The lovers need to clear the road/'Cause this thing is ready to blow")

I don't know, that's what I think XD. It's a good song - one of my favorites off her new album!

Could be about her crashing her car into the person's house, could be about her breaking that person's windows, could be about getting into a accident (with her intent). It's definitely about revenge/homicide, though.

I really just think it's about the demise of a relationship. It's all broken down.

"I just wanna set you on fire so I won't have to burn alone Then you'll know where Im coming from" Fucking love that line, definately think it means she wants to make him love her and then hurt him, just how hes made her fall in love with him and then hurt her, so he can feel how it feels too. Sort of thing :)

This song is really great. I think it's really pretty. Good job Rihanna :)

For me, this song is about two things. Firstly, her anger about the anguish she dealt with with Chris Brown. But Secondly, it's about her search for love. And Searching for love in general.
