I was not born, I was hatch
From lava, to pupa, tank, to coffin
Tearing affection I showed with my teeth
Crawled from the egg to feed of mothers frustration
Hell was made flesh and bred with goats

Allegiance spawned to replace us in face and name
The kingdom of apathy ruled by cattle
Fuck, scathe, destroy, burn
What foul majik is this? Hideous and Perfect

Drowned out by children singing
We are all the same, the monster in human
Is inhumane

If I gave you a pound of my sacred flesh
Would your sew closed that fucking mouth?
Always messing inside my head
All that troublesome talk just turns to wrath

If I drew a picture of what makes me violent
I'd give a shining blade as your answer
See your angelic reflection while craving
Trenches into your face

They put poison in my tank, lucid poltergeist
In the form of a child
We are all the same, the monster in human
Is inhumane

Passing my fingers past your tonsils
To retrieve your shining soul
Let the rot-red angst drip from my nails
Kiss past my teeth to your pure opal

Vile airborne demon in my breath
Past the age when you don't care anymore
Wounded by the pen, conquered by a sales pitch
Her black cherry just turned sour

Cogsmen and sweaters all-reel in terror
Screaming convulsing so deranged
We are all the same, the monster in human, inhumane
Sleep now hush...

    My Interpretation

I think this song is a big 'fuck you' to Angelspit's haters.

"I was not born, I was hatch From lava, to pupa, tank, to coffin"

This beast/monster/anything is a personification of Angelspit itself.

"Tearing affection I showed with my teeth Crawled from the egg to feed off mothers frustration"

This describes the pure anger and power in Angelspit's music. A lot of their songs seem to be based on Zoog and Destroyx's own frustrations, which sort of explains 'mother's frustration'.

"Hell was made flesh and bred with goats Allegiance spawned to replace us in face and name" Possibly about selling out? These lyrics kind of remind me of KMFDM...

"The kingdom of apathy ruled by cattle Fuck, scathe, destroy, burn" The 'kingdom' is made up of Angelspit's haters.

"Hideous and Perfect, drowned out by children singing" I think this is just to add to the atmosphere. It's still an awesome lyric. Or it could be about how immature and unnecessarily loud some ‘critics’ are. XD

"We are all the same, the monster in human Is inhumane" Just because you give your destructive criticism, it doesn't mean you're better (or worse) than us.

“Sleep now, hush” ‘Stop wasting your energy’?

“If I gave you a pound of my sacred flesh Would you sew closed that fucking mouth?” If Angelspit tried to share their success with a hater, would they shut up?

“Always messing inside my head All that troublesome talk just turns to wrath” As the haters continue, Angelspit will be motivated to do more.

“If I drew a picture of what makes me violent I’d give a shining blade as your answer” Perspective switch — to a hater, amplifying the pointlessness of their ‘bad reviews’.

“See your angelic reflection while carving Trenches into your face” Really, I don’t know about this one...

“They put poison in my tank Lucid poltergeist in the form of a child” Whatever conspired to make Angelspit go down has failed.

“We are all the same (deranged) The monster in human is inhumane” Just one extra word can change the meaning — Angelspit’s anger is similar to the hater’s anger, only they have more reason to it.

    creepy whipering

“Passing my fingers past your tonsils To retrieve your shining soul” YOU WILL BE ASSIMILATED. YOU ARE ONLY DELAYING THE INEVITABLE. Sorry, couldn’t resist.

“Let the rot-red angst drip from my nails Kiss past my teeth to your pure opal” Hater’s perspective. Maybe. I have no idea what the second line means. Maybe it means they’re either warming to Angelspit or they’ve stopped hating them.

“Vile airborne demon in my breath Past the age where you don’t care anymore Wounded by the pen, conquered by a sales pitch Her black cherry just turned sour” Angelspit, here referred to as female, has sold out in an alternate universe! Ohmigod!

“Cogsmen and sweaters all-reel in terror Screaming, convulsing, so deranged We are all the same The monster in human: inhumane” And then Angelspit decides against their changes and becomes even more awesome than they were before.

Oooooor....it’s just a really cool creepy song. I'll, uh, let you decide for yourself.

Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
