I strongly believe he wrote about overcoming his drinking addiction that caused him to be removed by his band members earlier this decade.
Overcome is the first song on the album which is known in the music industry as the "tone setter" or "message letter"; bands will use this as sending a message.
Along with this, the Overcome music video shows Scott and the other members in a concert(s) with a reunion setting in between these concert shots. When Scott was removed by Creed it happened by pure embarrassment. Scott passed out during the opening song at a concert in Chicago during 2004, and then once again in Orlando, which he later admitted he had no memory of the Orlando show. It was obvious alcohol was starting to take its toll on Scott and the band, so Creed was forced to have to let him go.
With all this information it would appear that Scott has bettered his life and has Overcome his addiction.
But meanings of songs is like the Bible; its what it means to YOU, what you take from it, and how it helps you through your triumphs and/or tribulations.

I think the song is about the singer overcoming the past pretty much. I guess it can be related to the whole band pretty much overcoming all their past regrets. Pretty good song overall, easy to relate to.

I think that here he was talking about just trying to forget about her and cope by denying what happened, but can’t forget it "it’s impossible impossible!" and it seems like she dumped him harshly or with no sympathy

I dunno if you're still into that story, which would make me wish ya good luck to overcome that whole thing right here ;), but discovering the truth, after nearly having forgotten that old story, and knowing...

I would interpret the last verse different: "I may be crazy but I’m buried in your memory” Instead of getting crazy because of loosing someone, I'd go for being crazy as a part of what made the person pushing the lyr. I away. Seeing the "I" as not normal enough or something. That's just what I kinda get from the crazy thing.
And furthermore, I don't get what you mean by "saying that it was justified because it was a deep tear to him". Wouldn't it rather be a tear to the other person, according to the lyrics: "but I'm buried in your memory", making her unable to forget that crazy person? Or does the memory of her bury him? I guess this is mostly a language thing on my side, because I'm not English.. so I'd appreciate if anyone would clear me up ;).

The song is about the band breakup, & that he has overcome his past, but still pissed at his bandmates, basically a grudge.
