I think that "breedlove" was on the right track. I think that this is about a breakup,
"Everything we are and used to be, Is buried and gone" is saying that the relationship is over.
"Now it’s my turn to speak, It’s my turn to expose and release what’s been killing me." now that he has gotten over her, or is still in the process, he has a clear mind now and is going to expose what was really going on.
"I’ll be damned fighting you its impossible impossible! Say goodbye with no sympathy!" I think that here he was talking about just trying to forget about her and cope by denying what happened, but can’t forget it "it’s impossible impossible!" and it seems like she dumped him harshly or with no sympathy
“I’m entitled to overcome” is saying that it’s like his right to move on; her memory can’t stain him forever.
“Completely stunned I’m numb, Knock me down throw me to the floor!” it’s like this took him by surprise or he was dreading it, he feels like she has thrown him aside.
“There’s no pain I can’t feel no more.” I think means that he has grown cold to her, or everything, grown bitter to try and cope,
“I’m entitled to overcome” he deserves to move on, he deserves better,
“Overcome!” trying to overcome
“Finally see what’s beneath” he finally finds out what was the cause of it all or some secret or an ulterior motive she had for dumping him, like what happened to me, to go out with his friend instead
“Everything I am and hope to be Cannot be lost.” Is saying that he can’t stray from what his plans for life are, not for some girl who didn’t want to see things through with him, stick to his guns if you will
“I’ll be damned fighting you You’re impossible, impossible!” he is giving up on her, like a “screw you” back,
“Say goodbye with no sympathy!” now he will say goodbye with no sympathy
“You’ll never know what I was thinking before you came around” she will never know what his true intentions were when he decided to get with her, like he was looking for someone for life or for all the right reasons
“Take a step take a breath put your guard down” telling her to calm down, get a grip, and look at what she has lost,
“I cannot worry anymore of what you think of me” he can’t care for her anymore, now he has to move on
“I may be crazy but I’m buried in your memory” he went crazy because he lost her, which is understandable, but he is saying that it was justified because it was a deep tear to him
Good job blade. This certainly does the job as well as saying it's about the Creed reunion.

And btw, like you (and thousands/millions ppl more) I can relate to this. You pretty much hit the point with some explanations you give up there. thehehe, the most satisfying part of that whole thing was the moment I was able to “Finally see what’s beneath”. I dunno if you're still into that story, which would make me wish ya good luck to overcome that whole thing right here ;), but discovering the truth, after nearly having forgotten that old story, and knowing...

Rofl. That might be more than enough of random talk xD. I tend to just say what comes to me mind... thehehe.
'Nother thing to your interpretation now. I would interpret the last verse different: "I may be crazy but I’m buried in your memory” Instead of getting crazy because of loosing someone, I'd go for being crazy as a part of what made the person pushing the lyr. I away. Seeing the "I" as not normal enough or something. That's just what I kinda get from the crazy thing.
And furthermore, I don't get what you mean by "saying that it was justified because it was a deep tear to him". Wouldn't it rather be a tear to the other person, according to the lyrics: "but I'm buried in your memory", making her unable to forget that crazy person? Or does the memory of her bury him? I guess this is mostly a language thing on my side, because I'm not English.. so I'd appreciate if anyone would clear me up ;).
{“I may be crazy but I’m buried in your memory” he went crazy because he lost her, which is understandable, but he is saying that it was justified because it was a deep tear to him} going along with the song, i think that this was not an easy breakup, and usually after a harsh breakup the guy who is singing the song will go threw that phase where he is pissed off; mad, or sad he is very emotional, thats what i think crazy meant, i say that it was justified because she caused him to go...

well, thanks for that, even though it wasn't exactly what I wanted ;) My problem was not the meaning of that sentence in context to the lyrics and the song, I'm rather confused of how one can generally interpret that sentence.. and that language-wise. What I wanted to know was if one could say both [ 1) He is crazy but it's because she teared him apart] and [ 2) He might be crazy but he still left his impression/imprint in her memory or maybe even because he is crazy... though I'd not interpret crazy as crazy.. I'd much more...

If I'd be to translate that one sentence into my language, I'd rather come onto the 2nd meaning that I've given up there. That's what's giving me troubles xD.

she's calling him crazy... he's saying back to her, "I MAY be crazy" not really agreeing and then turning it around on her, "BUT I'm buried in your memory" saying you've forgotten who I am. With the lies you've told, you've buried the love we shared and the truth of the good person you know I am and made me out to be some monster "don't cry victim to me"

"I'm buried in your memory" is a perfect ending line for this song. It's saying to me, wait... just wait... some day, the memories...

I was amazed when I heard this song. Never before has someone sang my life so perfect. Thank you Creed and welcome back.
