[Hook:]
Inhale exhale, I'm a weedaholic, smokin til my lungs fail
Give love, big dubs, I'm a weedaholic, the first to hit the buds,
Don't shake, slow hits. I'm a weedaholic, who loves to smoke spliffs,
Puffin ale, smokin skunk, I'm a weedaholic, the best at rollin blunts.

Relax yourself, let your brain cells die, we always rollin up the weed and inhalin til we high. sailin through the sky, but it's not a bird or a plane, and it's not SuperMan, I think her name is Mary Jane. she got me goin crazy for the weed indeed, I'm key'd, I can barely talk, barely breathe barely see, but I'm a keep goin strong, put the weed in the bong, hit it all night long, like a bitch when the pussy's bomb. only I got the bomb so I smoke, we back-to-back bong hittin holdin in til we choke. it got my eyes chinese, stuck like siamese, I'll be floatin away, when smokin a "J". blazin amazin hypnotic hydroponic chronic my brains dead, from pounds of purple, haze, blueberry and trainwreck. if you a smoker then you love how we do it, love how we be. it's just the daily routine in Humboldt County.

[Hook:]

Let's see, where should I begin, I think my story starts right around the age of 10, it was the day that I would try, the day that I would fly, that day that it become the first day that I got high. my momma said I shouldn't, my daddy said I couldn't, my homies told me take a hit then laugh and said I wouldn't. you know I ain't no chump, can never be a punk, if they gots some bud and you don't hit it, you was really bunt. so I took they little spliff, gave it a fat kiss, held on for a ride as I took a little trip. now I'm flyin high in the skies, tryin hard to hide the red-eye, love tha way it burns so I returned just like a Jedi. smokin that skunk, smokin fat blunts, smokin every morning til it's way past lunch. no it ain't a problem, yes I'm addicted, won't go to rehab, don't need to kick it. do me the lighter, and a new supplier, I'm done rollin up UnderRated pass the fire. and I'm gonna toke up on the hay-hay, roll some for L.A., it's our time to shine and I'm a smoke one for L.K.

[Hook:]

[Dave Chapelle stand-up voice over:]
Now this is when I knew I was in a bad neighborhood, you only see this in the worst neighborhoods. remember it's 3 o'clock in the morning, it's 3 o'clock in the morning. I look out the window... it was a fuckin baby standin on the corner. I went, "hey baby! baby go home man it's 3 o'clock in the morning man, what the fuck you doin out? "
The baby said, " I'm sellin weed nigga! "
I said, "OH! "

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
