Awesome song! I think its about someone who miss another person.
I think this whole album is obvioulsy about a relationship. But I think this song in peticular is about a relationship that went wrong because one of the people didn't say everything that they could've/should've. And now the other party wants nothing to do with them. So, they're lost because they don't know what else to do but love this person, even though this person no longer loves them. I think "I wish I was as strong..." isn't about a person dying, but about that person being fine after the relationship was over, unlike the speaker of the song. Also,...

Also, i believe the chorus is saying as the days go by, they begin to forget the other person, and they are more lost for it because now they have absolutely nothing. And then something comes along a reminds them of the one they lost, so the cycle stars over once again. But this might just be my personal experience talking.

i would have to say the best song from their new album. when Howard sings "it shouldve been me" and "drifting from your memory" it completes the song. that is like the epic highlight of song.

One of my favs from the new album. It's rather sad and emotional.. To me at least. Actually, there are a bunch of songs in this album that are just sad. Dunno, is it just me? Anyway, the whole album is amazing :) Can't stop listening to it. Great song, great band and Howard- great vocalist :D

I agree with rhysus. almost sounds to me like the guy loves a girl, and the two are close, but the girl ends up with another guy, and drifts away from him; "drifting from your memory". The whole song is just how the guy can't handle it, and he thinks it 'should have been him[me]'. seems like he also wishes he had told the girl how he felt; "if only i could wake and see your face again, there would be no more regret for all the things i never said"
