This is about bronies. They communicate by stomping.
So I heard it from a friend that there was this guy that I should talk to
So you let me in, opened doors underneath a crucifix statue
So I explained to you, I was having troubles getting through
And I was thinking of my end, it was just the sky I kept looking to
You said "I'm on your side“
I thanked you and I cried
I almost died
I was making strides, I was showing up every Sunday
But I was still confused about the pain that had invaded me
And I'm still wondering if my soul’s worth it to anybody
You assured me that the congregation would hear me
They said "we're on your side,
There's an unconditional kingdom that stands up high
He lets all believers in through the forgiveness of sin“
So I explained to you what was the cause of my suffering
See it was a while ago, there was an alleyway and there was a group of men
When they hurt me they whispered that the gays had to pay
When they beat me all of my worth was taken away
See I needed you and your knowing of the lord's own way through
And I was unfolded, I believed there was something he could do
But you just hung your head and told me it was the door I needed to be going to
"Son there's just principles, I cannot be the one who helps you“
You said "I'm not your side
You're probably paying for your sins
I don't understand your kind, it isn't mine“
Father your cold heart’s a smoking gun
Your cross ain’t no where I want to hang my hope from
There's still something I half believe, that's why I'm leaving this world behind me
See my sexuality don't have nothing to do with my integrity
When I get into that land, I'll lead with the one who wears the crown
He will say "I'm on your side
The side that's kind
Judge not what's right
In time you'll find you’re left“
So you let me in, opened doors underneath a crucifix statue
So I explained to you, I was having troubles getting through
And I was thinking of my end, it was just the sky I kept looking to

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve.
The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future.
Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere"
The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988.
"'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it."
"There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it.
“I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
it's about how christianity does not accept homosexuals, i'd assume. "you're probably paying for your sin" seems to hint at that...i think the song is pointing out how hypocritical it is to say you're a christian and that you love and accept everyone and then expel those who you see as different.
I agree with your interpretation, but I'm not sure I follow the hypocrisy. Christianity doesn't accept everyone's actions. Love everyone, yes, but accept everyone?

I'm not saying homosexuality is a sin, I just wanted to contest the "hypocritical" comment.
How easy to toss our the Christian teachings (God's teachings) on homosexuality which is to love the sinner but HATE the sin. Sorry, boys, but the act of having sex with the same sex IS a sin. You may not like God's opinion, but He's been very clear on it. Try to find even one positive reference to homosexuality in the Bible. Also look at Aids and who is more likely to get it and spread it than any other group (including prostitutes, who seldom spread it). A woman's body was made for a man's...and procreation is what keeps the world alive. We Christians are not supposed to embrace homosexuality. We are supposed to feel for those who are born with such a heavy cross to bear (a burden) but pray they refrain from sex. In the end (no pun intended) it's God who they must face alone. He is their judge. As for gay marriage, it does not exist. Marriage is a Christian sacrament (to Christians); no man and man (or woman with woman) may marry. In the state's eyes, they may, but Christians are not supposed to recognize the unions. God knew what He was doing. In a perfect world children have both role models in a family (male and female) and both are married in God's eyes. And Christians cannot be "hypocritial" for following the teachings of Christ/God. We are supposed to stick with His stand even when it is very unpopular. God loves no homosexual any less than any heterosexual (due to who s/he sleeps with), but he does judge homosexual sex as sinful. Please don't call yourself a Christian if you are going to snub God's teachings and replace them with secular humanist or atheistic thought. Identify yourself before you slam another (or group). I am a Christian with many gay friends who are wonderful human beings; however, their homosexual actions are sinful.
What a wuss, August23. You are well aware that homosexuality is a sin for you know that Christ (Christianity) does not accept the action of homosexuality. Grow a backbone. Atheists shout loud and clear what they believe in or don't believe in. It's time Christians stand behind God on His teachings. There's NOTHING to be ashamed of for following Christ. NOTHING. Jesus was spat upon; stoned; beaten; whipped; etc for not backing down on his belief and his teachings. The LEAST we can do as God's Christian children is to stand up for His beliefs. Love everyone, but do NOT accept every action just because today's secular society believes everything goes...
