BITE YOUR TOUNGE.

WHEN THE FEELING STARTS TO SINK DOWN LOW NOW

YOU GOTTA BITE YOUR TOUNGE AND LET GO WHAT YOUVE FOUND

YOUR WITLL NEVER GET WHAT SUITS THE MOST, EVEN IF IT FELT SO RIGHT

DOESNT MATTER WHAT YOU SAY, SO SAY GOODBYE TONIGHT

AND I KNOW THAT

SHE WILL NEVER LET IT BE

AND I KNOW

YOU COULD NEVER LET ME GO, BE MY FRIEND AND NOT THE FOE

YOU HAVE CRUSHED MY ONLY DREAMS, CANT YOU SEE WHAT THIS ALL MEANS

YOU HAVE LEFT ME IN A MESS, STILL YOUR HAPPY NONE THE LESS.

AND TO THINK ITS ALL ON YOU, BEAT MY FEELINGS BLACK AND BLUE.

BEAT MY FEELINGS BLACK AND BLUE.

NOW THE FEELINGS SLOWLY SLIPPING AWAY

YOU'LL BE HAPPY IM ALONE "YET ANOTHER GOD DAMN DAY"

WHY DONT YOU TRY AND BITE YOUR FUCKING SELF

SEE HOW BAD IT FEELS ON SOMEONE ELSE.

IS IT CLICHE TO SAY I'VE FALLEN HARD

OK TAKE MY HEART AT YOUR OWN DISGARD.

TAKE MY HEART ITS NOT LIKE I REALLY NEED IT

TAKE MY EVERYTHING ELSE, NOT LIKE IT MATTERS TO ME

SHE WAS PERFECT IN ALL WAYS AND I BELIVED IT

NOW ITS ALL GONE

(Backing Vox) SHES ALL GONE.

TAKE MY HEART ITS NOT LIKE I REALLY NEED IT

TAKE MY EVERYTHING ELSE, NOT LIKE IT MATTERS TO ME

SHE WAS PERFECT IN ALL WAYS AND I BELIVED IT

NOW ITS ALL GONE

TIME TO BITE MY TONGUE

YOU HAVE LEFT ME, SO EMPTY WITHERED UP INSIDE
YOU HAVE LEFT ME, WASHED UP LIKE THE RISING OF THE TIDE

GO TO SLEEP BITCH, GO TO SLEEP

Standing On The Edge Of Summer

In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

This is about bronies. They communicate by stomping.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
