Hope For Every Fallen Man [Acoustic] Lyrics

As you push it up through the soil,
I will shake your filthy hand
You may be dead to me,
but that don't mean we can't be friends.
And now it's time to get over this
Long as it's clear you understand,
That I will never trust
A single thing you say again.

Because a judge of you is someone I could never be,
Is why you should thank the Lord that it is him, and it's not me.

Don't give up, it's not the end.
There's hope for every fallen man
To pick themselves up when they think they can't
Because with every passing second comes a second chance.

You stole so much from me,
And there is nothing left to take.
Save a hard earned lesson
on how to not make the same mistake.
And you may be delirious,
but that is something that will fade.
After you confess that this mess
Is all something that you made.

Oh, because the judge of you is someone I could never be,
Is why you should thank the Lord that it is Him, and it's not me.

But don't give up, it's not the end.
There's hope for every fallen man,
To pick themselves up when they think they can't,
Because with every passing second comes a second chance.

Don't give up, it's not the end.
You'll get back on your feet again.
Forgiveness can be given when you think it can't,
Because with every passing second comes a second chance.

Take a good look at yourself and know,
You've got yourself a ways to go.
But difficult is not impossible,
You can take back all the lost control.
Take a good look at yourself and see,
That you'll emerge eventually.
As long as your heart's not too far gone,
From the only thing that can save you from yourself.

Forgiveness can be given when you think it can't,
'cause with every passing second comes a second chance.

I think this song is a lot about God, and how no matter how far you may be, there is always a way to bring yourself back to him, because he always loves you!

wow, my personal anthem. i've been a christian a year, or will be march 14, and it's pretty clear that i have a long way to go, but i've come so far. God has an odd way of using people at their lowest and presenting the best opportunities at the worst possible moments. and in the past i gave my friends a hard time with all my crap but they stuck with me, and that's one of the reasons i got saved in the first place. and no matter how hard you fall and how bruised and battered your soul is you can still somehow manage to get to your feet and start walking, and that's when you start to heal. that's what this song says to me and it is so true, always will be.

okay, so my girlfriend just broke up with me about a month ago now. ive always listened to a lot of relient k, but i'll jump from album to album depending upon whats going on at the time. while i was with her i listened to some mmhmm and a lot of five score. after the breakup i started listening to the birds and the bee sides a lot. i realized how much this entire album, especially this song, can hit on more than one level. for example this song can be interpreted as the two comments above me mentioned, pertaining to god's love and how there's always hope for salvation, but this song, as well as nearly every other relient k song, can also relate to relationships, specifically from the guy's perspective (obviously). for example with hope for every fallen man, i feel that the song was actually written about a breakup. it seems to me that this song is a guy talking to his ex for the first time, and somehow at the same time someone encouraging that guy to get up and move on. to push through it. thats how i take it, but i like both meanings. that's one ingredient for a great song in my opinion...that they can mean something different to each person, something specific to their situation. kudos relient k, on yet another great one

This song is definitely about forgiveness. People will wrong you but you have to forgive them because God forgives you. It's not up to you to condemn them so accept them.

"You might be dead to me but that don't mean we can't be friends"

Love this song. Reminds me that when people do wrong it's not between you and that person it's between that person and God. Don't be vengeful but hope that they make it right with God.

"Forgiveness can be given when you think it can't because with every passing second comes a second chance"

Hallelujuah! Amen =D

-adieu
