okay, so my girlfriend just broke up with me about a month ago now. ive always listened to a lot of relient k, but i'll jump from album to album depending upon whats going on at the time. while i was with her i listened to some mmhmm and a lot of five score. after the breakup i started listening to the birds and the bee sides a lot. i realized how much this entire album, especially this song, can hit on more than one level. for example this song can be interpreted as the two comments above me mentioned, pertaining to god's love and how there's always hope for salvation, but this song, as well as nearly every other relient k song, can also relate to relationships, specifically from the guy's perspective (obviously). for example with hope for every fallen man, i feel that the song was actually written about a breakup. it seems to me that this song is a guy talking to his ex for the first time, and somehow at the same time someone encouraging that guy to get up and move on. to push through it. thats how i take it, but i like both meanings. that's one ingredient for a great song in my opinion...that they can mean something different to each person, something specific to their situation. kudos relient k, on yet another great one
