I should never think
What's in your heart
What's in our home
Is all I want

You'll learn to hate me
But still call me baby
Oh love
So call me by my name

And save your soul
Save your soul
Before you're too far gone
Before nothing can be done

I'll try to decide when
She'll lie in the end
I ain't got no fight in me
In this whole damn world
So hold off
She should hold off
It's the one thing that I've known

Once I put my coat on
I'm coming out in this all wrong... all wrong
She standing outside holding me
Saying oh please
I'm in love
I'm in love

Girl save your soul
Go on save your soul
Before it's too far gone
And before nothing can be done

Cause without me
You got it all
So hold on
Without me you got it all
So hold on
Without me you got it all
Without me you got it all
So hold on
Without me you got it all
Without me you got it all
So hold on

I am in absolute awe at how great a musician this boy is. This song is amazing, very Ray Lamontagne. In fact, I'm guessing he is one of his influences. Everything about it - music, lyrics, feeling... perfect.

I wish everyone would stop thinking of Rob in association with Edward, and stop immediately connecting his lyrics to Twilight. He's said numerous times that he wasnt a large fan of the books, and I sincerely doubt he could sing something so raw and so passionately if he was singing about a topic he really had very little interest in.

I love this song, so much. I agree with lilspicegirl.

It's acutally "Before you're too far gone"

"Your" shows possesion. Your soul. "You're" is a contraction for you are. Before you are too far gone.

okay, so just because the song is on the twilight sound track, doesnt necessarily mean its about "bella&edward" in another sence, what i get from the song is, its about a man and he is so in love with a woman but he knows its for the best that they dont be together, for some reason he feels that no matter how hard he wants to try and make it work, no matter how much she begs him to stay with her, no matter how much it kills him to tell her goodbye, he knows he has to. before their "too far gone" in the love they feel for each other. and on the save your soul part, he isnt just meaning save your soul because i think vampires have no soul, no its meant, like, when you love somebody with you heart AND soul, he wants to save her soul from the pain he is getting ready to cause her, he doesnt want her soul to fee lost, like her heart might feel.

To me, this song comes from such a sad place; it's like, that person is your whole world, with them you have everything and also nothing because for some reason or another they are not good for you at all. What a position to be in.

I agree with Wambs to some extent. I feel the man wants, more than anything, to be with this woman, but he knows he doesnt deserve her. He'll destroy her if she stays, and for that he wants her to leave, to "save her soul." She standing outside holding me Saying oh please I'm in love I'm in love This to me, this sounds like he tried to end it (probably in a feeble, half-hearted manner), but she wont go, she's just as involved as he is.

so i guess i dont believe they arent good for each other. i think they're probably perfect for each other, but the man is unable to see himself clearly. he believes he doesnt deserve her, that she has everything without him and absolutely nothing with him.

my favorite part of this song is the beginning when he says he should never make presumptions regarding her emotions, then he goes on to say, "you'll learn to hate me"... just thought it was funny. thats a pretty big assumption.

This song makes me cry, too. It's a really..heavy song. Heavy hearted. Agh.

This song really does describe Bella and Edward's relationship throughout the entire series, I think. Because he's always so reluctant to just be with her fully and he truly believes that her life would be so much more if he weren't around.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
