Toguro (English) Lyrics
"Kill the tongue"
"The Silence of the White"
"It bloats as words"
"Eagerness crawls near"
The crumbling temptation has a smiling face
The blurred night bursts
"Cover scars with scars"
"Darkness, Doubt and Human Nature"
"Crave each other like crazy"
Shooting of the people that can adapt
She picks the petals of the butterfly smilingly
Superiority
Scatter peacefully
Be broken so mount
Shut your eyes and yourself from reality
The loser human drifts forever
It won't be heard
Shooting of the people that can adapt
The demand and the gathering for the camouflage, the destruction of order in the lines
Reality, entertainment, and the nothingness opens up the wound
You trace the answer with your finger
Dancing Slowly Forever Sick
"The Silence of the White"
"It bloats as words"
"Eagerness crawls near"
The blurred night bursts
"Cover scars with scars"
"Darkness, Doubt and Human Nature"
"Crave each other like crazy"
Superiority
Scatter peacefully
Be broken so mount
Shut your eyes and yourself from reality
The loser human drifts forever
It won't be heard
Reality, entertainment, and the nothingness opens up the wound
You trace the answer with your finger

ichigo900 has a point. I looked up and seen the line "The loser human drifts on forever".
Like he saying that the weaker humans are killing off the ones that can adapt so the weaker ones are all thats left.
I bet the weaker ones are celebs or corparations who have all the money to do what they want with it while the stronger ones, those who dont have much work hard for there the lil money they get. Which makes them stronger because they can work harder.
Sounds lame I know but I sorta half-assed my interepertation.
It is not lame. It makes perfect sense in my mind! Maybe it was just what he was going for; it is very possible Kyo was getting two messages across, the usual about the genes and now this thing. (Lumberjacks especially do deserve our appreciation, working hard as they do... just recently some list came out with the desirableness of different jobs, saying it was the most undesirable job.)

Anyway, by George he's right, we better weed out those weak genes and pay less heed to those glamorous types.

Beautiful song, my interpretion would only ruin it. I'm looking for the Japanese lyrics of the song though.
I dunno I think itz talking abt society and reality...How everything can seem right one minute then just take a turn for the absolute worst but I'm probably worng
hey Wrath...there's no such thing as a wrong interpretation! :D
this is my favorite off the new album.
Honestly I think he's talking about himself...whether he will admit it or not. Creating another reality to escape this one...but it doesn't seem to help.
It's like, life is the girl ripping the wings from the butterfly it's broken but its still trying to survive somehow but its' losing faith. a metaphor for himself...and people. My favorite line is "cover scars with scars" that's life, isn't it?
I love this song. It's my favorite off the new CD at the moment. I also love the line "cover scars with scars." sighs Kyo is such a poetic man, it makes me jealous! lol
I also love this song. It's my favorite off the new CD. Kyo so poetic. I like what deadxlettersxc said about Kyo creating another reality even though it doesn't help. It is an extrememly beautiful song. It just seems to draw one in.

To me, it sounds like the songs talking about how we humans are ruining natural selection, "shooting of the people that can adapt"
Anyone notice "Reality, entertainment,"? Like entertainment on the TV. Those realitiy TV shows? Reality-entertainment, sounds like Kyo tried to put it as one word. Sounds like he is talk about celebs a lil.
I get this sense of how humans don't like change. Anyone who does something differently and changes is shunned or 'shot'. 'Kill the tongue' = kill all dissent?
"Darkness, Doubt and Human Nature Crave each other like crazy" I could be taking this too far, but doubt leads to the shooting of people who change or adapt, since people are suspicious of people different from them and if they're too 'weird', history has shown that they probably will be killed.
'She picks the petals of the butterfly smilingly Superiority Scatter peacefully Be broken so mount Shut your eyes and yourself from reality The loser human drifts forever It won't be heard'
I get an image of a girl ripping off the wings of a butterfly while smiling kinda psycotically. Doubtless she feels superior to the poor insect that she just ripped the wings off of, robbing them of flight (another reference to the 'shooting of people who can adapt'?) and the wings of the butterfly flutter prettily to the ground. 'Be broken so mount' confuses me a bit. I think it may refer to the amputee butterfly. 'Since you can't fly, climb'?
'Shut your eyes and yourself from reality' I think refers to the girl basking in her own sense of superiority, when in reality, we really aren't that superior. These loser humans won't ever amount to anything or be heard.
'The demand and the gathering for the camouflage, the destruction of order in the lines Reality, entertainment, and the nothingness opens up the wound You trace the answer with your finger'
Camouflage, the need for people who do things differently to hide. Maybe there's so many people who don't agree with the so called masses, but are too afraid that people will shun them that they keep their heads down. But even though they stand in line with everyone else, the line's not exactly straight or orderly, since so many people are harboring different opinions.
I really don't get the next two lines. Maybe it'll come to me later.
Sorry for the huge wall of text that probably didn't make any sense. ^_^;
TL;DR- I love this song.
Agreed with most of the above; "Be broken so mount" seems to me like another reference to evolution and natural selection. The broken - ie, the masses (I get a feeling Kyo sympathises with them just a little bit from the adjective) - just keep on reproducing and shut their eyes to reality, perhaps using reproduction/the act of sex as an escape in itself, though this isn't one of his perverse-focus songs. Just consoling themselves of their worth while creating more people like them.
'kill the tongue' - suppressing opinions? as in, not killing the whole body but just the tongue, the ability to express individuality. 'silence of the white' - no idea, except for possible connotations of white: white is neutral, pure, - perhaps, referring to the 'purity' everyone is expected to have - keeping up with general opinion and not tarnishing reputations 'it bloats as words' - connected to the earlier idea of killing the tongue; the words bloat but don't burst
The next verse seems to be about giving in to the idea of 'sin', doing things that are prohibited (sometimes wrongly?) which everyone does but won't acknowledge.
'She' does seem to be a conglomerate of humanity depriving itself of its own self-expression, peeling off life, and all possibility of really living, ie the 'petals of the butterfly', its ability to fly/freedom (- what a beautiful metaphor!!!)
The last verse may discuss the commercial aspect of all this, how it's broadcast by media and popularised, upheld by celebrities, etc (in my version of the song; kyo's lyrics are always vague enough to give off two or three interpretations).
This song seems to be about suppression. Suppression in the terms of the strictures that humanity imposes upon itself, of always being morally upright, with nonsensical standards of good behaviour, or of the obsession with maintaining a good reputation, a thing that is recycled generation upon generation until we'll all end up slaves to our own image (not in the bodily sense).
This is just mho; putting it up for a general interpretation.
