This Is It

Appreciating things for what they are? Not taking things for granted? I'm only guessing..Not my favourite song :/

Its almost like he is singing to a person about not worrying about what other people think. Almost like someone is telling him he will never make it, and the person he is singing too is getting upset about people always telling him he will never do anything with his life so he trys to better his life so people will accept him and think he made it somewhere and he does but people keep telling him its not good enough, so the singer tells him basically that this is it so what, if it is good enough for you dont worry about other people's opinions if you believe you have done enough with your life and are happy. This is just my intereptation tho.

I guess, to me at least what the song is saying is that; if you are happy, then that is all that matters. Don't let anyone pressure you into thinking you need to change, someone else asking you to strive for something in which you have no desire to strive for.

Moral of the story/song(IMO); don't let anyone forcibly influence/ change you.

well, this song is not bad at all. i mean, some of us does have the feelings of not being good enough in everything we do but the truth is, if we are somebody else, if we have what other people have, then maybe we are not who we are today. maybe we will be too bad or maybe too arrogant of what we have. and yes, this song tell us to appreciate everything that we have. we are special in our own way and what we have is what that fits us.

Here we are, there's nowhere else to go (There's no getting out of this) And thats so far from where we all could be (It could be so much better, so much worse) But if you feel like disappearing (Comitting suicide) Then you should take this for what it's worth (Don't make it worse than it has to be, take it for what it really is)

There you are You dream of something better (Always thinking it could be better, never satisfied) What's so wrong with what you thought was true (Why shun the real "true" world?) And all the colors are disappearing (If you are stuck in an imaginary world, real life starts to feel less nice; the colors fade) But you should take this for what it's worth (See above)
