Its almost like he is singing to a person about not worrying about what other people think. Almost like someone is telling him he will never make it, and the person he is singing too is getting upset about people always telling him he will never do anything with his life so he trys to better his life so people will accept him and think he made it somewhere and he does but people keep telling him its not good enough, so the singer tells him basically that this is it so what, if it is good enough for you dont worry about other people's opinions if you believe you have done enough with your life and are happy.
