Smiths Disco Lyrics
please
please can we
please can we go
to the smiths disco
everyone will be there
and i'll choose what to wear
about 4 weeks before
on the corner
of fairfield street
where the ladies of the night tend to meet
if im not there i will be at the bank near platform eleven
soon be in heaven
and you can take
your cliquey discos where the girls get dressed
up to the nines and down on the knees, give you what you please
im not into that, have you seen the company in with which you're sat
i will see peter g
robin shaw
make it three
and il make it 4
stumble through the door
entirely embarassing fashion
and you can take
your cliquey discos where the girls get dressed
up to the nines and down on the knees, and give you what you please
but im afraid thats not for me
que sera

The Smiths disco still happens on the first Friday of the month at The Star and Garter which is on the corner of Fairfield St. Used as the pub in Brassic too. A beloved institution.
cover version of a stephen fretwell song :)
@ellieacrylic The chords are Stephen Fretwell but not the words.

minor adjustment
its 'cliquey' disco's not cleeky
