i think this song is criticizing people who with the holier-than-thou mentality. basically hes saying that his group is looked down upon by this person (for doing keys/drugs?) and this person judges them by this based on rumors. truth is that theirs more to them than that.

the "doing keys at 243" obviously means snorting keys but 243 is liam's house number :)
Its about people looking down on them cos they havent got anything better to do. "but I suppose you know cos you went to school with me" this line is for people like ellieacrylic that know what house number Liam lives at! Did you go to school with him too???

I think it's about people pretending to know the band just because they went to school with them, but they weren't there at the key parts of Liam's memory where he was with a few mates doing keys (loads of Bob Hope) in the back of his mate's garage. Luke was cold so the person who lived in the garage house (obviously better off than them) lends Luke a jumper - a posh one - a Jaeger.
